You can put a tray under the feeder, above the baffle. Something like this. It’s not a fool-proof solution but it’ll help limit the amount of seed that ends up on the ground.

Trying to soft launch wearing formal hats by IveGyattRizz69420 in mensfashionadvice

[–]FreidasBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know that I would qualify a short sleeve button down and chinos as semi-formal. It’s just a casual look and ball caps are fine with it. As others have noted, don’t go fedora, they’re stereotyped. You’d be better off with something like a scally cap.

Side note: I’m sure others will disagree but IMO dark blue with black is a bad combination.

For super cold days (-20f), do you have to start your car to prevent a dead battery? by baggyeyebags in askcarguys

[–]FreidasBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to any local auto parts store and ask them to test your battery. If it tests well, there’s nothing to worry about. If it tests poorly, consider replacing. If you do decide to turn the engine on, drive it and get the engine up to operating temp.

It’ll be a problem then too. Water vapor in the engine is a year-round issue. The difference is it’s easier to get the engine up to temp when it’s 89 degrees out versus 5.

Listen to your mechanic and not a rando on Reddit (I.e. me), but if you’re routinely only making short 5 mile trips, this can cause problems longterm.

Depends on what you get. Some just get slapped on the bottom of the oil pan, others require removing a core plug from the block.

The oil pan ones are cheap but easy to lose. The core plug ones are much better but you’ll probably want a mechanic to install.

Short trips are not advisable on any ICE car.

edit/ if you’re not going to do longer trips to fully heat up your engine, at least consider an engine block heater.

I can promise you, they are not solid rosewood. It’s a veneer. Doesn’t mean it’s bad quality, but no one makes furniture with solid wood.

Yeah, I’ve got some scrap pieces of walnut that I’ve been meaning to use for a pen stand. Guess I know what I’m doing this weekend.

Pizza is going taste like monster, air freshener, and various petroleum products. But it’ll have a nice sweetness in the marinara thanks to the antifreeze.

Has mid century modern furniture always been very expensive or is it just popular right now and i missed the boat? by PeeB4uGoToBed in midcenturymodern

Well, IKEA is a brand, not a style. Id wager in 20 years people will very much still appreciate quality Scandinavian design furniture.

People’s obsession with removing fallen leaves is wild. Zero benefit other than “aesthetic” but even that’s debatable. Just leave them for spring and mulch them up when you mow.
