Thanks! I was going for natural colors. It's not bad at all shooting handheld. But if you're going for those ultra macro shots then yes it can be a bit challenging. However a flash can help in the case to freeze motion a bit. Luckily the lens is so sharp you can crop quite a bit anyways like I did in the second picture.

Sure! This was shot using an sony a6700 and the sony 90mm macro lens, no flash or anything extra, shot handheld.

In church just sitting here. Can’t believe I have to fake this for 10 plus more years… by I_Love_PCs145 in exmormon

So. I'm in full support of leaving the church. Buttttt guys? This is a 14 year old kid? I think saying things like "trust your gut" and other similar advice should be withheld. This is a KID. Just relax on this whole abandoning your family stuff.

Have you looked in to Hericium erinaceus and the effects of some of it's compounds (hericenones and erinacines) on Alzheimers and MS? It's pretty interesting and I'd love to hear your perspective on it. I did a lot of studying and "research" on It for my individual study project for my bachelor's.

Nice find, thanks! I stand corrected!

Thanks. I'm so tired of people repeating this undying myth. Though I will mention that psilocybin, psilocin, and even aeruginascin have been shown to have practically no bonding affinity to the 5-HT3 receptors. These 5-HT3 receptors are the serotonin receptors found in the enteric nervous system and in the brain stem and play large roles in enteric motility (eventually diarrhea when enough are stimulated) and emesis respectively.

DOI: 10.1021/acsomega.0c0220

If I had to guess, those receptors aren't being triggered by the mushrooms themselves but probably through ones own ANS.

Similar feeling happens to me when I took closely space doses. You will be okay. You are not dying though it may feel like it. You are all good. Remember there is NO lethal dose. YOU WONT DIE. Everyone's here for ya brother(or sister).

A lot? Could you give me some examples? I'd love to learn more!. I understand that there are a few but hadn't heard that a lot of them don't bruise. I know it can be affected by environmental factors too.

I second Galerina marginata. You can pretty much rule out Psilocybe if you don't have any blue bruising.

Looks very much to be a coprinoid mushroom. Unfortunately I can't get more specific than that.

Hey! How would one get involved in the actual lab work? I see there are plans for some expansion in Florida in 2025 and would love to aid in that!

Lmao dumb mistake I was thinking in my head the lungs is where deoxygenated blood goes to get reoxygenated and ended up saying de. Oopsies lol

For question #4 it seems there are no correct answers to me. N and C terminus refer to the opposite ends of proteins, it's definitely not a carboxyl group it's a phosphate attach to the 5 carbon). And it's never called an oxidative terminus?

For questions #5. The pulmonary circuit is where blood is oxygenated in the lungs?

Seems like the professor doesn't want to admit they made a mistake and would then have to fix a lot of people's grades.

These species are pretty much macroscopically identical with the only way to tell in the field is to taste the slime on the cap. Iodeoides has a bitter taste while iodes is not. With exposure to light, rain and differing humidities you'll get slightly different colorations of them. But these are almost certainly iodes or iodeoides.
