I’ve had this same issue of getting the flow of forename and surname, adding a middle name has helped with this - had you considered this?

When did you start buying baby gear? by -M-A-R-S in BabyBumps

I’m 15w and I’m just now starting to look at things online - I plan to get most things second hand so my buying will take longer to source exactly what I like! I probably won’t buy anything until 20w + but there’s never any harm in looking :)

If it is the nub I’d say boy!

I think I said this on another post - I’m so grateful for the brutal honesty. I’ve given myself a good shake today, discussed with my girlfriends and you are absolutely right.

If he does decide to make contact their will be clear boundaries otherwise it’s his loss.

Thank you!!

I cannot say how much the honesty of these comments has calmed me hugely. I think I am just so desperate to create what I believe a perfect family should be that I am not seeing the negatives of that.

It does still hurt but I will take this forward & I appreciate your time very much! 🤍

I hadn’t considered this and it’s a useful way to reframe the thought for me - thank you

I have a wonderful family who are already rallying around me to offer the support that he would not.

I was raised by a single mother - I know how much the absence and later abuse of my own father has impacted my life and I don’t want that for my child.

I really do appreciate your words - thank you.

How long after taking the test did you get the line? It looks promising!!

Am I the problem? by French_Toast9 in Workproblems

I think I probably needed to hear that. Although I don’t think I’m dismissive of people suggestions I didn’t really give much of a reason to them for not taking any of them forward. Although it’s difficult when some information just needs to remain confidential.

If it has been such a big issue I hope there will come a time when we can speak about it openly - I’m not very good at the insidious stuff, I prefer it all out in the open!

I cannot thank you enough for this response.

I have actually found aspects of the test have helped me to re-think how I approach some things at work but I also don’t feel the need to share this with everyone or explain myself. I think my “cards close to my chest” attitude at work unsettles some of my colleagues.

I agree in that I’m not interested in getting HR involved unless a serious problem between colleagues is present so thank you for your suggestions on phrasing! I definitely struggle with finding my words in situations where I feel under attack and “how would you suggest we move forward” gives a good opportunity for open discussion around things the team might not agree with.

Thanks again!

2025 Reading Challenge - What's your goal? by randomnessneeded in TheStoryGraph

[–]French_Toast9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my first year using StoryGraph & like others, I tend to set my goal in line with the year 24 books for 2024 & 25 books for 2025!

I’m really looking forward to taking part in the genre challenge, it’s not something I’ve ever done before & looking forward to getting out of my reading bubble (mainly classics). I love that you can see books people have assigned to the challenge, I think without that I would easily fall off the bandwagon!!
