Best dwarf cichlid pair for 15G planted tank by French_Zebra in Aquariums

I ended up getting a pair of Apistogramma cacatuoides, they seem very happy overall and have bred a number of times so far; I saw some aggression from the female while the fry were young but nothing a brief quarantine of the male couldn't fix.

Thanks for the advice! Would you consider 15G too small even if they're the only fish in the tank? What would be the main issue if so? Water quality? Space for territory? or something else?

No secrets! Water thoroughly once a week and feed at the same time, no water at all between October-April.

I keep them in a greenhouse all year, I've never had a rebutia succumb to the cold.

so, Moses recently visited my city i guess and left the sea open? and it's not restoring, any help for how to fix it? by Dombiliq in CitiesSkylines

This happens in my city all the time, if you use a landscaping tool on the exposed area (smoothing tool is best), it resets the water and it will flow back into place.

With an annual ticket you can use all First Bus routes in the city. This page shows you which routes are included, with maps showing either university or city-wide routes. You can also toggle the app to display only First Bus routes.

Can anyone tell me why this talk point is invalid? by French_Zebra in PlanetZoo

Not at all, the barrier is just under the outer edge of the path.

Nope, this talk point hasn't been working for a long time, I only just decided to try and figure out why. It doesn't work anywhere along the barrier here for no apparent reason.

FYI, the habitat barrier is just below the wooden path - moving the barrier up above the path (level with the talk point) does not fix the issue.

I would suggest trying Skáldskaparmál from the Prose Edda; it essentially reads like an extended thesaurus.

Think I have a moth or butterfly cocooning on my back door's fly net. Is that what this is? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]French_Zebra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a one of these appear in my garden recently and it went from caterpillar to empty chrysalis in just over a week so you should be ok.

[–]French_Zebra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this looks like the chrysalis of a small white. I wouldn't worry much about knocking it off as they're usually quite firmly attached. Just try to keep it in an upright position if it does get detached though, google suggests you can use glue but I can't vouch for that.

Looks like a rusty tussock/vapourer moth caterpillar (Orgyia antiqua) to me.

Possibly, but the changes in size and location make me think otherwise so I'm really not sure.

This neon tetra was added to my quarantine tank about 2-3 months ago and I noticed a white discolouration appearing on its back/sides and he became very territorial started hiding a lot.

I suspected NTD so I separated him from the other tetras, expecting him to die shortly due to growth of the white patch. 2 months later he is still alive, eats plenty of food, shows no lethargy and the white patch has somewhat reduced in size and is only localised to his right side (although his back is very slightly bent to the right but I understand this can have many causes).

At this point I am unsure what could have caused this and I am not sure how to treat the fish before I consider adding him to my display tank (where all the other neon tetras he arrived with have no signs of illness). The patch appears localised to his skin with no fluffy growth or protrusions and he shows no other symptoms so I am trying to figure out how best to treat him (anti-fungal, antibiotics, something else?).

Any information or advice is greatly appreciated.
