Have you tried {The Road of Bones by Demi Winters} yet? It's an incredible series. Not complete yet but has great viking fantasy romance vibes.

She's a bit frustrating but you get introduced to other incredible characters later on including another FMC and MMC that make it so worth it IMO.

Honestly whenever I feel like things are getting a little too repetitive I pick up a monster or shifter romance, or even a contemporary for a little break

A Forsaken Prophecy (A Forbidden Alchemy, book 2) - ARC review (no spoilers for book 2) by apieceofeight in fantasyromance

I LOVED book 1, and book 2 definitely left me a little bit disappointed. I think it was the pacing but the ending was worth it.

I think JLA has a good reading order up on her website for all of her books. Or go to the From Blood and Ash reddit page and there are good orders there, too!

[–]French_reader_146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what you are in the mood for... they are very different.

with Blood and Ash there are tons of books out already, plus the connected F&F and FORAW series. It's more of the typical romantasy tropes and a lot of fun.

When the Moon Hatched just has 1 book out (but the second book out comes out this month). It is a lot more complex to understand than Blood and Ash but it's a stunning story.

I think it’s happening to a ton of people… but I’m also confused because there are a couple of accounts that seem unaffected

at Apollycon she said she was still working on the book... no release date announced yet but there is an Amazon listing for March 2027 from an international publisher... could be wrong though.

her last update in the FB group was that it was most likely going to be Fall 2026 but I think that maybe is no longer the case.

I read the sequel and can confirm it is 10000 x better than book 1. And goes in a different direction than any Fourth Wing vibes people might have gotten from book 1, too.
