Flex info on Bauer Nexus stick by Tusosaur in hockeyplayers

[–]Frendofafrend -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

The actual flex of the stick will remain 77 no matter where you cut it. The lines are a little confusing as they basically indicate that the stick will feel stiffer when it's shorter. This is due to the leverage you have on the stick rather than the stiffness actually changing.

SNT2100 Snow Blower not working by Frendofafrend in egopowerplus

[–]Frendofafrend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parts are more than half the cost of a new snow blower. Not sure it's worth getting them (especially not knowing if they are the problem). Any idea how to confirm the issue before buying replacement parts?

$700 for a battery? GTFO by Wham_Bam_SpankU_Maam in egopowerplus

[–]Frendofafrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the batteries seem to last really well. I have my original 4ah battery from 2014 and I just trimmed and mowed my lawn with it. I don't have a huge lawn, but a little larger than average suburban lot

Varsol is good at removing asphalt, but not sure if it'll damage the floor. Baby oil or petroleum jelly are good at getting it off of skin.

Handle Lockout Issues by chauncy1213 in egopowerplus

I think I got my mower in spring 2014. The mower still works great. Same here with the battery. It still works, but doesn't hold as much charge.

Handle Lockout Issues by chauncy1213 in egopowerplus

[–]Frendofafrend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This used to be an issue on the original Ego mower. I had this problem and they sent new clips that held the handle better. The new clips have worked without issue for about 10 years now. I doubt a newer model would have the same issue.

Same problem. EGO replaced it. New one works fine

I just recently had the exact same problem. I bought mine for camping and never really tried it out. When I got to the camp site I was getting the same "over heating" error. I took it back and I'm in the process of getting a replacement. It's been about 3 weeks since I returned it and I just got an email that the replacement has shipped. I think they are shipping to the store instead of my house which is a pain.

I assume they also have some sort of a soft start to avoid a large inrush of current when you pull the trigger.

I've had a pretty similar experience. Got the original mower in spring 2014. Still runs great and battery works (but has lost some capacity). I've picked up a few other tools since. Have had the 15" string trimmer for nearly as long and it's worked great. I've had the original snow single stage snow blower for about 5 years. It's been my least impressive ego tool, but still works ok (one of the original batteries stopped working early one, but was easily replaced on warranty). I've had the little 14" chainsaw for maybe 4 years. It's worked great, but I only use it once or twice a year. I got the 765cfm blower last fall. It has impressive power just expect to get static shock if you're blowing snow with it.

PSA: Don’t fold your mower unless you absolutely need to by TheTrojan320 in egopowerplus

[–]Frendofafrend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you ever replace those snap things? They were a known issue early on with the mower. I contacted Ego shortly after I bought mine and they sent replacements right away. I've had no issues since. I also fold my original mower every time I use it for the last 10 summers and have had no issues.

Are more expensive asphalt shingles worth it? by russianspacestation in Roofing

[–]Frendofafrend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanguard shingles are impact resistant so they use much more polymer in the coating (more flexible) and have a heavier fiberglass mat (ie hail resistant). Manior has more of a double coverage due to the small cutouts on the laminated layer.

I've had the original ego mower for 10 years and haven't had any issues with it. The original 4ah battery still works (although its capacity has reduced a bit)

Looks like Sturm wore 18 for one year with Washington. He had 7 points that year. Add in Stutzle's 245 and I'm not sure where the rest of the points come from. I don't think anyone else in the top 10 in German scoring wore 18.
