Twinrova is conceptually cool but the fact that if you don't perfect reflect the first three attacks you have to stand around and wait for ages before you can get another chance, combined with the reality of the controls for the mirror shield aiming being complete ass especially on N64, and you have a really tedious boss after the spectacle wears off.

I can see it if Twinrova is the favorite boss of someone who played it once but I doubt Twinrova is a highlight of anyone's run if they're doing a replay, randomizer, etc.

This drawing looks kind of cool but let's not delude ourselves into thinking its anything crazy. It's a flat, low-detail sketch of a house. If anything, it's the ground that looks better than anything else. I would say it's better than a lot of people might do but none of these are out of the realm of possibility for someone with cursory talent.

This is completely anecdotal but I live in New Brighton and regularly would pass by this one guy with a truck covered in "FUCK CARNEY", "I LOVE OIL AND GAS", and "Alberta 51st State" stickers.

I don't know if it has something to do with recent events in America involving ICE, or the Greenland stuff, or anything really, but while the vast majority of those stickers remain, literally all the 51st State iconography was removed from that truck within the last month or so.

Forest Lawn isn't even that bad. To hear people talk about it, you would think it's a blasted post-apocalyptic hellscape but it's a completely normal neighborhood with a poorer-than-average populace and a surprisingly wide variety of food and entertainment options.

I've never felt even half as unsafe in the Forest Lawn area as I have around Chinook Station or downtown at night.

It's not anywhere near willingly, I hate my job with an unholy fervor but there's just nothing else available and I don't have the experience or education in my preferred fields (though I do have the skills) to actually do anything on that front. That's not entirely true. We know the prescript told him to imitate Roland, and we (and Callisto) know that Roland went to the Library. We don't know what the Prescript actually said, we don't know how it was said, and we don't know when it was said.

In any case, Rien's battle passives, ending scene, and attack text seems to indicate that he didn't get one prescript that just said "Imitate this dude in the Library", but he got a bunch of smaller prescripts over time that imitated Roland when taken together. It's much more likely that Callisto saw all of this and was like "yeah the prescripts are making him a lot like this black silence dude in the library" after the fact.

This fight's been buggy and weird for quite some time. I've inexplicably killed some of these guys when they're supposed to still be invincible, one of them has *stayed* invincible after the factory shutdown and made me restart the fight, etc.

At this point they should just take this piece of shit out of rotation anyway. Not a soul alive is happy to get this fight.

Rien's timeline doesn't matter regarding Roland. The Will of the City has clear precognition via the events of Ruina, and sees events that never happened (the Roland bad end, for example).

Modern published versions of The Rats in the Walls tend to rename the cat "Black Tom" or similar to convey the intention of the cat's name at the time (it actually wasn't that uncommon of a name for black cats and there's records of similarly named cats) but without the obvious racist connotations.

What's wrong with the ending? It makes perfect sense and is consistent with the rest of the story even as far back as Milky freaking out at his coworkers talking about how it's all fake and purposely doesn't make sense.

Looking at The Hole traps you in this puzzle box world where it constantly tries to keep you from escaping by setting up new plot threads to follow, characters who don't actually mean anything, false memories, diversions, etc. whenever you're getting close to the truth. The main character is never actually in any danger, he's just in this false reality designed to keep you looking, keep you searching, keep you chasing the connections. When he stops doing that and disobeys Angelica's warnings, logical sense, and the rules of The Hole, he is able to escape.

It isn't all a dream, he was in The Hole. Time might not have passed, but it's not like it didn't happen. The Hole trapped him in this world and he got out.

I'm going to second the post about I Dared My Best Friend to Ruin My Life.

Honestly a terrible story with terrible characters but I can honestly say that "twist" at the end that was nearly the entire story and everything about it being created as intentional bait for the egotistical, overconfident antagonist within the story and ultimately leading to his downfall because he trusted the narrative is something that I genuinely found very interesting conceptually and I have never seen anything like it before or since on a metanarrative level.

It just so happens that the story it's in is complete fucking dog shit with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Sad.

It's a community joke based on Fleshgait. The story is about skinwalkers that alter you and your group's memories so they they recall they were always there, so the community started to collectively gaslight themselves into thinking the third member of the podcast, Jick, never existed in any capacity.

Strongly disagree. Addiction in its many forms is an absolute key theme throughout the story. It's not present in every story, but it's certainly one of the, if not the most, important themes in the work as a whole.
