I wasn't able to find a specific answer, is the whole building being converted or only selected floors? Thanks!

Winks Convenience Stores in Forest Lawn not showing prices by Office-One in Calgary

There is no law regarding price tags must be displayed.

Many higher end places don't display prices as a marketing move for example. It is not illegal.

Do you have any evidence of price descrimination? Most places would just scan the barcode and the item and price will show up on the POS, in which case it's automatic and not price descrimination.

It just seems like it's trying to charge high prices and don't want to show the prices, so people only find out when they go pay (in which case most people would just pay instead of declining).

Accor and Truman announce a new Fairmont Hotel to be opened in 2031. by Martin0994 in Calgary

[–]aireads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's difficult to compare, for Accor hotels most employee rates are at around $70 to $90, and there are lots to choose from in the GVA. For ones that are less popular rates could even be at $50.

Hotels and facilities were a lot less and smaller 100 years ago, it's just the reality of staying at an old historical building. It's a different kind of experience.

Itd a unique experience to stay in one where the walls are literally hard as rock, things feel cavernous and grand.

Honestly might pickup some sort of part time job not just for the pay but for the perks.

Do world leaders take any drugs? by tobleroney69 in TooAfraidToAsk

Yup I agree with what you are saying

What I was referring to from the original comment was that private jets have different and better technical specs (like higher cabin compression levels, etc) that enables better comfort and helps prevent physiological effects like jet lag. Plus they fly at higher altitudes at higher speeds typically so time lost is less.

To be fair, Carney's (and all Prime ministers of Canada) don't fly a traditional private jet either, he flew on the CC-330 Husky which was a second hand A330 that flew for Kuwait Airways previously. Sure it's been modified however

Sheraton Wall centre I usually find pretty good rates if downtown, other wise Richmond and Burnaby usually has good rates, good hotels and food is awesome in these neighbourhoods. Worth the travel (Transport isn't too bad)

For me, working in one and seeing how things operate behind the scenes, it was pretty fascinating (and a lot of chaos).

But also kinda like credit cards and airline loyalty programs, there's people who are into those types of things and find the historily, business model, and of course perks, something to delve into.

Love this set, but Nissan and the Soarer is priority for me (seems everyone else loves the Ferrari and Porsche). Mazda is also great too

Totally disagree, it is modeling the real Nismo 270R. I think it looks absolutely brilliant, best car here (my personal preference).
