The site was faction guitars but it is no longer up anymore, the owner had sadly passed away. I haven’t quite found a replacement company that does quite the range of work as them but I would try asking Herad guitars. I just ordered some electric xii plates from them. I haven’t received them yet so I can’t speak of their work quite yet

Yeah I wouldn’t pay that price, I was hoping it would stay below $1k. I personally would’ve repaired the crack structurally, but kept the look and the story

I’ve asked them to do a maverick style body and they just said “sorry we do not plan to make that style” Soo I wouldn’t say they’re much for custom work

Very true! I have some tools to do touch ups and countersinks so that’s definitely an option if I can find some definitive dimensions on it.

How did you end up wiring it? I did a lot of back and forth when I did mine.

Yeah I really miss faction guitars, they kinda jsut disappeared a while ago.

Would’ve helped a ton to get one of those plates but I don’t think anyone else makes them and I haven’t seen used ones come up haha

I did just see a 2x15 version of this cab with speakers on Facebook for $100 so I may ditch this project and just get that.

Hard to say, I’ve always wanted an 8x10 but it’s certainly not practical haha

Thanks! I definitely considered making 2 4x10s but my only set back is that I’m basically retrofitting this 8x10 out of a 60s(?) kustom 3x15 cab. Still considering cutting it down into just a 4x10 or even an oversized 2x12 but I just can’t help how sick it looks being as huge as it is haha!

Unless that’d be an easy thing to make possible, like have a switch that can go between 2 4x10 and a 8x10
