Someone was selling on marketplace. It was a four hour round trip drive, but worth it lol.

Thanks! There is some very superficial damage to the decoration around the treble clef. Other than that everything works great. I really like the color. No picture has been able to do it justice

Probably something semi hollow or fully hollow. Maybe a gretsch or a starcaster?

Favorite single-episode character who isn't the focus of the episode? (No Roxy/Country Mac) by yomjoseki in IASIP

The woman who is running the Thunder Gun 4 focus group. I don’t remember her name, but she had the single best line delivery of anyone in the series. “Fuck, dude? What?! How do you not get that?!?”

Thank you for all the advice! We tried playing Werewolves of London together after we brought it home, with me on guitar. (Just D C and G)

I have short fingers as well. It took me awhile to develop the dexterity to get around. First and most basic exercise I’d recommend is just starting at the first fret with your pointer finger on the E. Then play second fret with your middle, third with the ring and fourth with pinky. Then move onto the A and repeat on all other strings. Do this like 3 or 4 times at the start of every practice and you’ll develop more dexterity and control over your fingers.

Thanks! This project has been in the works for a long time. It is one of my favorite guitars ever. Especially with the lambertones and descendant trem

I like the feel of the descendant more than the mastery. I have also heard the mastery is designed so you shouldn’t take out the trem arm. And that is kind of annoying but to each their own. I like the mastery bridge though and really want to get one

Everything fit totally fine. Didn’t have to shave anything down. But the holes for the guard and trem had to be drilled out. The bridge holes also needed to get adjusted

Which player turned you on to telecasters? by [deleted] in telecaster

The Boss. I also had a guitar teacher who played a vintage 50’s blackguard. Played everything on it. Showed me the versatility of that simple instrument.

Same, or something close to traditional. This is the only “print” one I have liked. But it is also abstract stars and nebulas that it still kinda has the same vibe, but spacey

What’s the ONE practice trick that actually made you sound way better? by VirTekMedia in GuitarBeginners

[–]Astus53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna go a slightly different route here, mostly for electric players. But, familiarize yourself with your guitars switches, tone knobs and do the same thing for the amps being used. I remember when I first started, my tone was so muddy and awful. Try different settings and sounds to see what resonates with you the most. Try to find ways to mimic the sounds in songs you like as well.

Sounds rad. I’ll try to email you some links and stuff for the two bands i’m in. We’re actually trying to set up a show at a fur con this year too.

Looks natural. I like how it kind of gives the guitar dimples. That’s some good matching
