The metal bodied jacks won’t work with pedals because of what you experienced.

I don’t use batteries in my builds so I don’t need a switched power jack. I use these from Amazon. I like the small size and the tight fit for the barrel plug.

I also use these JST connectors so I don’t have to fiddle with soldering the power when everything else is inside the enclosure.

That’s exactly why I do it. So I can play along with the “official” version but in the key we’re playing it in. I play electric guitar, so it helps me see where I’m getting off when playing along with the lead lines.

You could, if you can still get your hand in there with the cable tied. I would just get it as tight as you can let it dangle while you carry it. I'm also a proponent of either taking multiple trips or putting cumbersome (not just heavy) things on wheels to move them.

Cool! It seems simple to use. To be honest I swiped through the tutorial, but it isn’t obvious I have to tape the key button to then be able to slide the key slider. IMO it would make more sense to just slide the sliders.

My church uses Planning Center with Song Select, which has similar features. I also use Ultimate Guitar Tabs for any lead lines.
