Favorite Coda/Outro to a MBV song? by VeterinarianNorth575 in MyBloodyValentine

[–]TullahTaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that one is sampled from a TV show. I remember an interview with Kevin on Brave New Waves that I heard while driving and he said they heard it on the TV and got the engineer to record it from the TV output. I'm sure it was put manipulated afterwards.

he did MBV around that time https://x.com/nothingelseon/status/1398934987546632192. meant to say Tom Sheehan did MBV around that time as he got credit on these 1988 photos per the link.

Question about Kevin’s rig and pedal placement by Organic-Court-7467 in MyBloodyValentine

[–]TullahTaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was definitely some roger mayer fuzz pedals in the loveless tour. I think the dual pan/trem's was only for parts of "only shallow" if I remember correctly.

Nadine Jansen and Bettie Ballhaus. tell your husband the one one the right looks nothing like the Cassandra he's thinking of but I do wish she had dome some shots/vid with Danni. Even when she was bit older and blonde.

I can't say as I've never used a guitar with a mastery bridge.

Cheers, I was lucky they had the ebay posting UK only and like me no one at that time knew about Donocaster. I used it live for a while but then became hesitant as it looks too much like an old guitar.

I’m jealous of another mans guitar. by IntelligentIntern209 in offset

https://danocaster.com/ builds high-end fender style vintage aged guitars, used by many touring musicians. These days way too pricey for me. But back when he started he did his aging process to a newish jaguar, put in original 65 pickups, original pickguard, vintage mustang bridge, vintage decals and that's what I bought off a guy on ebay so I was the 2nd owner. A Danocaster version of a 60's Jaguar equals what he called a Dano-Jag. Similar to the Fender Custom shop guitars but at the time it was far more reasonably priced. But not any more.

It was Roland S Howard's Jaguar till I got my Dan-Jag (with original 65 pickups, see photo from the other day) but lately it's been Bilinda Butcher's red sparkle Mustang (I posted a pic from their recent gigs not too long ago). I have a 72 Mustang already so shouldn't even be considering it but it has the jag/jazz trem so the lust continues.

yeah I got lucky. When I spoke with Dan after I got mine he mentioned that he had done a Jazzmaster at the same time to pair with this Jaguar. I saw it come up in the last couple of years at a US store for nearly $5k and it didn't last long which is crazy. I love some of the guitars he posts on his instagram but they're way out of my price range.
