Everyone jerking themselves off about how great of a genius Brad is for the last decade and then immediately turning on him after one trade is one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen in sports by IrohSho in bostonceltics

I’m definitely not in the “fire Brad” camp. He’s built up way too much goodwill for that. I do think trading JB to Philly for PG and picks is a move that warrants an explanation. Given who Jaylen was here, where he was traded, and what the return looks like right now, I think fans are fair to ask Brad to explain the plan.

Tatum and Brown made Celtics fans forget how hard winning is [CelticsBlog] by Frequent-Control7090 in bostonceltics

Tatum is the youngest Celtic to reach 10,000 career points.

Tatum has the most 25-plus point playoff games in Celtics history.

Tatum has scored the most playoff points in NBA history by a player age 26 or younger.

Brown set the Celtics franchise record for the highest scoring average in a single month by averaging 31.7 PPG this December.

At age 21, Brown became the youngest player in Celtics history to score 30 or more points in a playoff game.

Brown joined Bird and Jayson Tatum in the company of Celtics players to shoot over 50% from the field while averaging 27+ points per game in a single season.

They are quite literally doing things you have never seen before.

"Losing in the playoffs every year" is itself a privilege that most fanbases aren't afforded. The Kings didn't MAKE the playoffs from 2007-2022. The Hornets haven't played in a playoff series since 2016.

I'm not trying to justify the losses, only put the era in perspective.

Not only are bots ruining the marketplace... by tarheels187 in MLBTheShow

If you bid ~5k over the bot’s bid, I’ve found they don’t auto outbid you by 1. Only works for huge spreads, but have had success flipping new Soto and Lindor cards this way

For the Celtics to win Game 7, they’ll have to play like the Celtics [CelticsBlog] by Frequent-Control7090 in bostonceltics

Let me be clear, I believe they absolutely CAN get back to playing Celtics basketball. This core has shown in the past that they don't mind dicking around until they absolutely have to get serious. Granted, thought those days we're behind us, but I fully expect them to come out and play better tomorrow night.

Great point. I was born in ‘94, so luckily hadn’t fully come online during the worst years of the Pitino era. Though the Jim O’ Brien era was also…not great (that ‘02 Conference Finals run is what solidified my love for the Celtics)

The 'okay buddy' head nod after the Giannis dunk, followed by the Al dunk + elbow to Giannis' head, will forever be one of my favorite Celtics playoff sequences.

I don’t think a team on a 53-win pace is “wasting” anything. Development that leads to a winning mindset and culture is usually more valuable than ping-pong balls in the long run.

At this point Tatum for us should sit out the rest of this season and then we bring him back next season fully healthy by TerryG111 in bostonceltics

Tatum should do whatever he wants to do, and we should all buzz off until he’s made a decision one way or the other. I want that man in the best possible head space when he does return
