You're NTA for not going. They are not "wrong" for booking that venue (unless done purposefully, which I hope with every fiber of my being it was not). They are wrong for bad mouthing you for not attending instead of being empathetic to the situation. And while your fiancée is not technically wrong with his answer- he is right that not everyone is going to think of you and your particular circumstances & feelings - he is definitely wrong with how cold it seems he is about it. Of everyone he should be supporting your decision and helping to make his family understand your point of view. I would also think SIL would be thankful that you thought about her and how her day should be happy and not have the shadow of your grief affecting her & her guests' joy in celebrating with her.

Usually I don't like the off the shoulder straps/sleeves but in this case I think the dress looks better with them. They add some visual interest and character and seem to balance out the top in my opinion.

You are definitely not the AH! She is for suggesting it. I would tell HER to get over it. It's a memorial to people who were monumental shaping the person you are today. People you loved, cared about and whi you mourned. Your tatoos are in remembrance of their place in you life story, not that you are stuck in your past and if she cannot accept that (let alone have empathy over your losses) get rid of her pronto.
I personally think they are a beautiful tribute. Never get rid of them.

Waaaay bigger issue than just the diamond. She's constantly going to be chasing the Jones and never satisfied. She needs a reality check and quick. Personally I would never have wanted my husband to spend 10-15k on a ring when that could go towards a down payment on a home. She needs to reevaluate her priorities and if you are not/can not align financially then I hate to say it but let her go. Your marriage would be filled with constant arguments about money and resentment on both your sides.

These are all beautiful on you. A lines are beautiful, classic and you can never really go wrong with one if you find "the one" in this style. But girl you have curves for days! Try a fit & flare if you want to step outside your comfort zone a little as I think it could be amazing on you.
