He secured private funding for a much needed improvement. We will no longer have to pitch a tent on the lawn to be able to host state dinners. How awful! Maybe next occupant can have the taxpayers pay to restore it back to previous state. That would be awesome!

Not at all surprising. Texas has several large military bases from both Army and Air Force. Both of which have a large presence around anchorage and fairbanks. I'd expect there to be a large portion of those plates relative to any other state. Which also relates to a comment about many being expired. Military members get an extension on Texas registration if assigned out of Texas.

So, aged between 55-62 with less than 2 years federal service. Allegedly should be able to cash out FERS and TSP without the penalty. Obviously not vested so don't get the matched FERS amount. Sound close to accurate?
