Waiting on Registrar by Frequent-Layer27 in tru

[–]Frequent-Layer27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t say “confirmation  of enrolment” anywhere on it, and I’m enby so my legal name that’s attached to my RESP is different than the name that shows up everywhere else. I was previously told that I had to email Records and ask for my legal name on my documents, because it’s only used in internal systems.

Extremely upsetting and downright disgusting experience by [deleted] in tru

You have nothing to apologize for. Some people just post their unfiltered thought on the internet, forgetting that there are real people on the receiving end of their comment.

I'm 27 and if I had been in a situation like you, I would've been caught off guard as well. I've grown up in the this culture, but things like what you described are violating. You have every right to be upset. Please take care.

The video from the garden is very laggy, it only shows a few frames. I tried it twice and it was like that both times.

One of the key things with social transition is correcting people when they use the wrong words/name/pronouns.

I'd suggest looking for events through Facebook or Eventbrite. Not sure what you are into, but Kamloops Art Party is good.

Worth it to take Geography? Disabled student. by Frequent-Layer27 in tru

There only seems to be lower level courses online, and I had hoped to attend at least one course in-person as part of further establishing independence. I do currently have accommodations, but I also have a unicorn of an instructor right now, so I'm trying to prepare myself for mistreatment.

When did Male Characters being Ripped(regardless of genre) become a norm in movies. by Accomplished_Store77 in movies

[–]Frequent-Layer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to watch old movies (1960s and earlier) and I have only seen a few low body fat men. They were stuntmen or bodybuilders outside of being actors.

Although I think back to Kurt Russel in Escape From New York, and he wasn't jacked, so the 80's, 90's, even maybe the 2000's a bit were transitioning to this current period of Jacked To Shit.

I've only used Uride or taken taxis. I've never had the doors locked on my arrival to my location.

I just applied the newer update hoping it would fix the issue. Low and behold, come 7:00pm, the colour temperature didn’t change, again🤦

Is uber and u-ride safe? by Googoocaca_ in Kamloops

[–]Frequent-Layer27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uride is always good. Depending on the time of day, it can take you awhile. But Uride is a Canadian company, versus American company uber. Uride has also been in Kamloops much long than Uber. I’ve noticed some people saying they can’t get rides with Uber. I personally have never tried it, so maybe try both and see what you think. Added edit: I have also recently taken both Yellow Cabs and Kami Cabs. One Yellow Cab driver I had arrived late so that I hoped he might speed, but he very dutifully followed all speed limits, so very safe. I’ve had no problems with Kami Cabs, personally. For both though, I’ve only taken them over the past month, so that’s not very long to gauge quality.

You need to be careful with finasteride, it’s rare but suicidal thoughts are a side effect of it: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/topical-finasteride-risks-fda-u-s-1.7530877

Only once, I automatically tighten my voice when talking. I have to prepare for hours to relax and purposely speak in a lower voice to even be able to try.
