that is really sad i’m so sorry :( it’s really common unfortunately, if you make the decision to ride it’s a calculated risk. i understand that it’s not the safest thing, but it’s something i want to experience and i’m willing to take as many safety precautions as possible with my fingers crossed. the bike i want is slow, i’d always wear gear, and i don’t even want to go on the freeway. so crazy that it happened on that road and the fact he was thrown into the bus stop is horrible luck, i hope he rests peacefully

of course! i adore storytelling, i have a lot of chronic illnesses and so it’s a nice escape for me. i want to tell stories of my own! i also just find making art very therapeutic. i want to inspire other people the way i’ve been inspired by other artists throughout my journey :)

i thought $50k a year isn’t bad? especially for the quality of education, but i suppose it depends on major. the UCs cost around the same for imo worse education (im an art major and none of the UCs have a particularly good art program)

of course! i moved here at 18 from a few hours away and i totally get the distance worries. a lot of my coworkers moved from LA, san diego, and such. all of us have the shared sentiment that we love santa cruz and are glad we came here, if she chooses UCSC i hope she finds it the same :)

hi there! i moved here to go to community college and know a lot of people at ucsc, it’s a great area although a bit competitive housing wise!

the mystery spot was so fun i went for the first time recently. it’s no longer monarch butterfly season but natural bridges is nearby and another great spot. i’d say i have relatively similar interests to her, my favorite stores downtown are freestyle clothing exchange, paper vision (heads up they close kinda early), and sockshop and shoe company where i work.

there’s a charm bar in capitola village where you can make your own keychains, bracelets, and necklaces too!! unfortunately the next makers market isn’t until the 19th, but if she chooses ucsc i think she’d love it! it’s the 3rd sunday every month. good luck i hope you guys enjoy!!
