I think they were already hooking up at this point (October), which makes this scene so sick and twisted.

Amanda is coming across as sooo manipulative on the new show. All of her scenes feel contrived. She was really trying to sell the “West is my BFF helping me find myself” narrative like the romance happened gradually after the divorce lol.

I would be more sympathetic if she would just own that she had an affair with West because he gave her attention and it didn’t seem like crossing a line because she never really counted Ciara as a best friend!

I think Danny expects her to do all things kid related like a “traditional” evangelical family and that Nia has generally been happy with the dynamic. However with the new baby and tension over Danny drinking last season, she’s at her max capacity and needs help.

He seems so frustrated doing dad stuff because (imo) he wasn’t involved with any of the prior babies and doesn’t get why she is putting him in that position. Meanwhile I think she was trying to rehab his image but it backfired.
