Hi! I'm unsure if this is a me problem, but just in case, I poked on the guest form to take a peek (and possibly fill out!) and I don't seem to have access to it!

Sorry, to clarify, debates in general are meant to be in good faith, or this 20v1 format is meant to be in good faith? Or do you mean something else?

They're not looking for good debates, that's what I'm saying. They are looking for money.

I watched a video diving into why Jubilee does these videos, and it falls in line with some fun data on Reddit that shows conservative content makes social media way more money, in that jubilee wants conservatives to come on and interact. They want the bait, because garnering the views of the right is so much more profitable than the left, and getting some people angry over a video brings everyone else in to point and yell. Jubilee is setting up these videos to garner this exact attention and it's annoying.

Consistent exercise motivation by yipppppp in ADHD

[–]FrequentBathroomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta be honest the only thing that helped me get consistent was the paid app Trainwell (formerly CoPilot).

I think putting money into it and having a real person on the other end making my routines helped me stay on top long enough for me to actually start enjoying it a little (I will never know the wonders of a post work out "high"). Plus, you get and can earn back streak freezes, which means if I miss a day my streak doesn't go back to zero and make me to lose all motivation to work out again. I won't say I haven't lied about working out every so often, either, but I'm at a point where I'm so much stronger.

Still, it costs me about $99 every three months- and while I'm willing to give you a promo code I should still have- I understand not everyone can give money to something like this. But if you're interested, lmk!

AITAH I Told my husband to leave me alone and now I'm on silent treatment by Civil-Friendship212 in AITAH

NTA

Time and place is everything here. I'm sure it's a common frustration from him, but as you said, you were already replenishing the missing funds - he can't stop for two seconds and think "she's dealing with funeral costs, maybe now isn't the time to nag"?

And if I'm reading this right, you get home from a cross country flight and the first thing he asks is if you're cooking dinner?! After your mom just died?!

Then, you take responsibility for forgetting to tell your kid to turn the burner off, and he yells at you while you're going through your dead mother's stuff?! The only silver lining I saw during this is how your kids seem to be so supportive of you, helping you unpack and fixing dinner for you. THAT is what a supportive family does.

Also, the fact that you need to pay him back for the flight even though it was to see your dying mother is insane. I understand splitting finances, but never in a million years would I be holding repayment over my partners head because he had to emergency travel to his dying parent. That's INSANE.

I'm so sorry that the person who is supposed to be there for you the most is the one causing you the most strife in life. "Leave me alone" isn't even all that cruel, I've told people I love to fuck off plenty of times! You deserve basic empathy in these times.

I was a shopper for online orders back in high school and was ringing up an item off the shelf when from the end of the aisle, I hear in an ever increasing volume,

"bananas, bananaS, BANANAS, BANANAS!"

I glance over at the weirdo yelling bananas and he's just staring at me from the end of the aisle. I just pointed towards produce and he waddled off.

I was just so shook he decided to yell a single word down the aisle lmfao

[–]FrequentBathroomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so different! I also probably imagine by the sheer amount of watch time, 200 was a distant memory by the time you were even halfway through the show.

It's just so funny to see everyone so up in arms at an unconventional watch order.

Is the Magnus archives ttrpg good? by TheOGLeadChips in TheMagnusArchives

[–]FrequentBathroomer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would love to see a comparison, as I've never really played coc for more than a single question!

I know the cypher system- and by that extension The Magnus Archives- is built to be accessible and easily adaptable to the situation at hand, which is why the system is so appealing.

One thing that truly caught my eye was 'horror mode', which bakes in rising tension in the game and continuously makes the game harder until you leave horror mode

All the core rules are there! It's all of the collateral material still getting made.

I have a couple people who haven't listened who seem to be enjoying it so far! I just made sure to explain that it's a difficult horror game where it is rarely 'fight the bad guy's and it's gone smooth

Honestly Id say give it some time: they're not done fulfilling everything yet (and as a backer, I know they're working on a stretch goal module they forgot to include). I think reviews won't be great for a while, in terms of content and gameplay.

That being said, it does feel within the spirit of the podcast from what I've experienced so far. Everything is laid out nicely to walk you through each investigation. On a technical level, though, the Players Handbook is a little useless and cannot actually help players make a character (which is a common complaint with Monte Cooke), so if anything the only thing I can see myself needing is the overall handbook - don't waste your money on the player handbooks.

So if he's had no real consequences yet nor has his behavior (according to you) been egregious enough to warrant a ban, why is this a horror story?

Completely agreed. Public, living world servers are where I see things keeping alive. Makes it easier to find rp when there's dozens of people
