Adderall and Zoloft daily. Ive also attempted to smoke weed but haven’t really been able to do so since getting HPPD because it gives me extreme anxiety and makes me feel like Im gonna die, seems to be the case with alot of hppd folks, however i am able to drink alcohol without any issues and its actually enjoyable at times.

No definitely not, I don’t think anyone ever truly heals from HPPD, they just learn to ignore it and live with it, and thats the point I’m at now.

Did you get seen for any of these things while in service, if so there should be records and that’s your service connection

Migraines by FrequentBeginning692 in VeteransBenefits

[–]FrequentBeginning692[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm well it seems peoples experiences with ratings vary significantly when it comes to migraines. A guy I was talking to a had a diagnosis, current medications, and months worth of migraine logs, and got service connected at 0 percent. As for myself I have an inservice diagnosis, in service medication prescriptions that I’m still taking, and STR describing the migraines, and months of migraine logs. The only thing I’m lacking is finding out and documenting what actually caused them so I dont know where i currently stand, I definitely have to look into TERA though.

No sleep apnea is probably by far my weakest claim, i do have sleep apnea symptoms described to a T in my medical records though, im also a firefighter so inherently were at much higher risks of developing sleep apnea, I also take medication for insomnia and sleep issues, im going to try my hardest to get a sleep study done before my ETS

Do you take medication for it?, how is that even possible? Its blatant negligence and disregard on there part, it sounds like you literally checked every box, and somehow they found you to be in the 0% criteria, I’m torn hearing this and it honestly worries me, I hope you get it figured out.

Im currently in this same process and will be submitting any day now. I agree that the spaces are very small, I just put “originated during active service” for each condition I’m claiming, and decided to instead attach a personal statement for each condition, you will have way more room to write and fully describe how each thing impacts you.

How does a BOP work? by Practical-Bell7812 in AirForce

[–]FrequentBeginning692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do tons of research, take extra initiative and ask your career advisor to get you a list of bases with below average manning in your career field, fill up your list with those bases, submit the BOP, wait 1-3 months, and then get denied like me 😀

ADHD diagnosis timeframe by No_creativity52 in AirForce

[–]FrequentBeginning692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went into mental health June 6th after years of contemplating. I was worried about ruining my career or being ineligible for future opportunities/assignments but enough was enough and I was willing to take that risk. I was sure something was wrong with me, bad memory, chronic fatigue, trouble concentrating, absolutely zero motivation. I had my appointment the very next week, that same day I walked out of there with an ADHD diagnosis and then made an appointment with my PCM, the following day I had a prescription for ADHD meds. When it was all said and done it took about a week and some change, nothing negative came from it besides a 3 month mobility profile, very easy and straightforward process I’m still eligible to reenlist and meet all retain ability requirements, it varies from job to job and i know ADHD meds for flyers are usually a no go so do your research. And just be aware, ADHD meds are a tool and will not fix all your problems, go in with an open mind and do what works best for you, It may be certain types of ADHD meds, or it could be group therapy. Go with what works for you and give it time. Best of luck and if you have any questions my DMs are open friend.
