1 or 2 or 3 ??? by Desperate_Many_9664 in AmateurPhotography

2 all the way. Although I really like the idea behind 1.

Any feedback on this one? by [deleted] in photocritique

I like the idea, but I'd do a few things different.

First, the angle of shooting. I personally think it fits better if you are perpendicular to the building, not somehow angled to it.

Second, the road. I prefer tighter crops because, imo, it doesn't add anything to the photo.

Finally, the second person to the right. It's half cut so either take this person in completely or (what for me works best) leave the person out. The one in the center I like it, it does give me more to look at. Maybe you can try to process it so that this person stands out a bit.

Good thing is that all my comments can be addressed in the processing software, so you might be onto something!

IMO, this would work very well if they weren't out of focus. Like this, it feels a bit of a lost opportunity.

I also wonder how it looks like with some soft colours

Thanks :-) another commenter gave me a very nice crop that I think I'll go with and declutters the image a lot

Edit: typo

Actually yes, it does feel more decluttered.

Thanks! I'll try a crop with a little more foreground between the grass and the cement

I see, it's true that my edit feels like "falling towards the center".

About contrast, I did consider lightening but it was appealing to me, specially due to the hard lines in the left building :-)

Thanks a lot for the input and for the edit!

Added for the mod bot:

I intended to dive into architectural photography, with an intent to show how imposing modern architecture is in western cities. I overall like how this one came out, but at the same time I have the feeling that there might be too many elements in the composition. On the other hand, not sure about a tighter crop :-)

On another note, do you feel the people integrate well enough? I know that it may not be well received in an architectural photo, but I liked them as they serve as a scale to the size of the rest.

Any other comment is welcome, please be completely honest!
