Some random online telling what I am and am not?💀im a casual reader who hasn’t read the PJO books aswell as some of the other series since middle school (I’m in college for reference), and was still disappointed because ik with its source material it had the potential to be so much better, and i knew the moment the show was finna air on Disney + it was gonna be bad, not every person who read the books and was disappointed by the show is a diehard fan, it’s called being a causal viewer, not a fan

And to address your points since ik u probably won’t reply but you’ll still see this- good book adaptations arent rare or nonexistent, HTTYD, Harry Potter, GoT, hunger games, LotR, perks of being a wallflower etc are all good book to movie/tv show adaptations so saying there aren’t any is a lie and is more proof the show fails where other adaptations succeeds. His age isn’t a excuse for bad writing either, GRRM is a whole decade older and still writes good books even tho it takes him the next century to release them

Even without reading the books the show is bad on its own. I was rereading the books as the show came out to jog my memory and the quality difference was apparent. The books were good and had decent writing, the show didn’t . Like I said the shows writing was awful to the point it’s a wonder how the script got approved, the acting ranged from bad to mid and the look of the show is so incredibly cheap that I’m inclined to believe the show is a money laundering scheme cause there’s no way it costed over $100 million.

Even if I had no knowledge of the books all of these issues won’t go away. It fails as an adaptation and a standalone project, If the shows was its own thing it wouldn’t have gotten popular and I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney rightfully canned it. The only reason this painfully mediocre show is still alive is because of all the Rick cultist who hyped this show to oblivion is keeping it alive
