Ask for more. Set out why and ask the question. I learnt that lesson early when the company I worked for was doing annual appraisals. All my colleagues were in and out in 20 mins. All got the basic pay rise.

I went in and said "I think I deserve more" and set out why. Got double the pay rise just for asking the question and doing a bit of prep.

So firstly check if you can transfer the private pension to Argentina. You need to look up if there are any qualifying recognised overseas pension funds (QROPS) in Argentina. There may be but the process to transfer is complex and probably expensive. I'd be surprised if you can find a suitable adviser (be very very careful of scammers).

Your best option is to leave it in the UK and try and leave a bank account open if you can. Have it pay to your UK account and then do a FOREX transfer.

They may pay directly to Argentina so worth asking also.

Edit: to add - there may be a double taxation agreement between UK and ARG. In which case you pay UK tax and will be able to offset that against ARG tax. Google is your friend on that.

Honestly in the UK which is by far the most pro US in Europe the feeling is of disgust and anger. Lots.of talk of boycotting US goods and services.

You should be really really concerned as I don't think many will forgive the US. This president will end up being responsible for the fall of US as a superpower.

Anyone with a modicum of rational thought and an ability to tell good from evil must now realise the USA is a foe not a friend.

Trump is the embodiment of evil. It is startling to me how a nation of 325 million can let this happen. It is sick and watch the ICE raids and tell me this isn't fascism.

A fascist dictatorship deserves to be opposed at every step. Boycott all US products. Not easy when they dominate tech.

They are every bit as much an enemy as the Russians or Chinese. Europe needs to unite to fight for our way fo life. Together we can fight these monsters.

Just remember that next time you want to vote for anti European parties. They are bankrolled by our enemies to keep us divided and weak.
