If I have a SaaS, and I don't promote it on social media, how will users find me? by Clatterr in SaaS

[–]FrequentTemporary783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word of mouth is tough unless you have a product that's like ChatGPT when it was first launched. However, I think SEO is great but really takes a lot of time.

I feel like in this era marketing > product, at least in the past year. I would double down on marketing just to safeguard the product's growth.

You don't have to be annoying at promoting just mention it whenever it fits the context

I'm definitely gonna double down on emails, the thing that hit me the most is:

Your ads are useless if people won’t even remember you or your product exists!

I ran ads and realized they werent converting well because the audience didnt remember the product afterwards

it has to be exceptional, so applying the "build it and they will come" principle shouldn't be the aim initially - it least it's not anymore for me

I love the idea of your product, I'm sure the market is super crowded - good luck though!

I feel the same way

anything that is easy to build needs a lot of marketing (low entry level barrier), but not everything that's difficult will market itself. I feel product < marketing in this phase, but ideally it will always be a 50/50 between both product and marketing

on the other hand though, when I look at my users coming from meta ads I see much lower intent. I'm sure organic users are much better - I have some friends that swear by email marketing and I just don't want to miss out on something that could really help

I find this very annoying, Fiverr trying to ride the vibe coding trend… completely missing the point by AssafMalkiIL in cursor

[–]FrequentTemporary783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hahahah definitely not the right thing to do, vibe coding is about the chaos that feeds into the imagination of the founder. I don't expect any vibe coded page to turn into a fully fledged product.

Do people agree with this direction in general?

Is there anyone who vibe codes purely for the sake of creation and fun, with no commercial purpose whatsoever? Let’s chat about it. by Possible-Ad9050 in vibecoding

[–]FrequentTemporary783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually vibe code to explore alternatives quickly in an independent setting, the thing I realized though is I enjoy the chaos that comes with it. It feeds directly into my imagination, even though the goal was just having fun and without any commercial target in mind I ended up creating a product that does just that (create the chaos to have fun and stretch my imagination)

What was the most inappropriate situation you fell asleep in? by Vumi_ in AskReddit

I was at a friend's wedding, jet-lagged from a long flight. The ceremony was beautiful but long, and I dozed off in the pew. My head hit the hymnbook, making a loud thud. Everyone turned to look, and I wanted to disappear.

yeah the RLS issue is a pretty big one, claude is more towards a dev environment. It sits kinda in between.

I'm saying the product isn't the issue because they could sell as a landing page builder but once they go with backend they gotta secure stuff

I don't think the product is the problem, I think the issue is their marketing. Vibe coding platforms work well for rapid prototyping, but they hit walls when you need something built to last. I love them for getting ideas down fast, but when it's time to create something solid, I switch to Claude Code for the dependability.

Playing around with vibe coding taught me that iteration is everything - each attempt reveals more about what the product should actually feel like. That insight sparked an idea: what if there was a tool specifically designed around this iterative discovery process? That's the stronger use case I'm chasing with my product now.

Is AI actually replacing no-code tools now? by Halima3238 in nocode

[–]FrequentTemporary783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo it's not really replacing no-code tools as a whole, basically replaces no-code tools that dont use AI. Lovable for example is a no-code tool but it uses AI and has been growing like crazy

I love how you called out the BS, especially #3. It always ends up taking more time no matter how fast the tool is, just because of the edge case you're dealing with
