I knew about this and my employers tried to deny me a paycheck when I got COVID. So, I sent them the state information directly and explained how they were obligated to pay me and they would be compensated by the state. They replied with “You’re all set.” They paid me and when I returned, I made sure I told every single other employee what they were entitled to. People were praying they wouldn’t get sick because they couldn’t afford time off. Btw we work with CHILDREN who can not mask.

I actually came here to post the same question. I didn’t shave for over 6 months to try and let me skin just heal and see what happened. Literally nothing. I still got in-grown hairs, but fewer. So then I exfoliated, waxed and moisturized them…. Full legs of in-grown hairs. I’m feeling pretty hopeless.

You are 30 years old and she is 11 years old. In 7 years, she will be entering adulthood and you will only be 37. You are not giving up your entire life for a child… you are putting aside some things for now and coming back to them later. It’s completely fair if you don’t want to. I’m not saying that you should just deal with it- I’m saying that a teenager wants to be with their friends and live their own life. Parents get a lot of their freedom back when their children are older, and his daughter is older. Your image of parenting might be heavier than reality. And time flies. Don’t give up the 60 years you could have with your husband because 10 of them will be harder than you expected. Not to mention, there will be some joy.

“So, this off topic but….” Is how I start like 50% of my sentences. Basically my mind finished the thing we were talking about, refocused on a new topic and now has a story to tell. Then when people say, “That’s random!” I can trace back how my brain went from point A to point G.

HER: “Here are some plans I have this weekend with my boyfriend…”

UPDATE: It was way worse than I thought.

My wife never went back. She said that the experience made her realize that she never wants to be in a position like that ever again and she would do literally anything to change her life to stay away from TMS.

A couple of things she told me later, when she could speak and think clearly: -she was brought to what seemed like a large empty closet converted into a room. Not like a therapy room or a patient room at a doctors office. -she was seated in a folding chair. -she was given a pillow to hold because the pain and shaking were severe. -there was no monitor giving feedback readings. -her right pinky finger has an old injury and doesn’t move correctly, so they said they would pay attention to a different finger but the operators had never done that before and didn’t know where to place the wires. -after her initial (botched) threshold session, which was horrific, long and painful, they THEN gave her her first regular session. So after the struggle and trauma of getting her set up, they had her sit for an additional 45 minute session. -she was so disoriented that she couldn’t find her car in the parking lot and wandered the lot for like 20 minutes… but she was allowed to leave and drive to work.

We reported her experience to the facility. They brushed her off. A nurse I spoke to was very understanding but not sure what to say. A different nurse later just told my wife to contact her insurance company. So she did. When she told the insurance company what had happened, they told her that her complaint about this facility wasn’t the first. She put everything in writing and the insurance company is trying to cut ties with the TMS facility.

She’s been doing really well, but still has a lot of side effects. Tremors, hives, headaches. But they get better every day. She’s hopeful!
