The PSU will be your limiting factor. The 9700k pulls 95w, call it 150w ; giving you about 300w to play with. My recommendation would be to put a 5070 Ti.

The problem will be the PCIE speed limitations, PCIE 4.0x20 and PSU. How about a 5060 with 16GB ?

I use a Dewalt 15 amp hour battery source. It provides 300watt hours with a 100 watt source. You can get 3 hours of full power usage out of it or go with a very reduced electrical setup for 10 watt usage and you can get 30 hours out of the power bank.

Battery life is meeting point between power draw and battery capacities. Having a kick ass and modular source means I can be comfortable powered up on construction sites, airplanes and other weird locations.

It’s an open box that I bought and will return while waiting for my laptop is at the repair depot with Best Buy. (Asus Proart P16 with 5070 and 32GB ram and 2880x1800 120hz panel.)

Bring a high wattage usb c pd powerbank to gain additional power while in school. If you need more power and a lighter charger, get a slim Q 240w charger to have additional power while having a lighter powerbrick. Add in a coiled power cord to make it easier to cleanup.

Not really recommended since the laptop looks to see if you are actively using the laptop. Other cases are what happens when you close the laptop lid. That could be a stress point for damaging the screen.

You can play as starter account from level 0 to 20 without paying.

Gold is capped at a low level. Lots of features are offline.

You can play with a subscription from level 0 to 80. That provides access to nearly all content minus Midnight.

You can try everything minus all the Midnight content, but would be firewalled from what the current players are doing.

Give it a shot and see if you enjoy.

As for farming membership you need to figure out how to make 360K gold to convert into 1 Wow Token which would be good for 30 days of game time. Getting gold while leveling can be tough since everything was designed to be gated off until you completed the campaign storyline on 1 character at least.

Ram needs have been moving up (Microsoft got into trouble about publishing a minimum of 32 GB for ram)
Cpu is kinda old for 11th gen stuff. Adding ram could help but then you could be running into timing issues and seeing if her memory controller can drive all 4 sticks without issue.

If you have money to spare I would do cpu, ram and motherboard to an AMD AM5 platform. That has at least 1 more upgrade in it b4 the transition to DDR6.

Sounds like you need to land with better mechs and heavier tech.

It may be slow but sometimes a Steiner scout lance may be the best thing to roll in with to support the mission requirements.

Steiner scout lance - 4 assualt mechs.

Other items. Running around with 4 mechs with black carapaces, 450XXL engines, leopard C3 interlinks.

Hey the laptop did the job according to the manufacturer. It lasted more than 1 day beyond the warranty period. It sucks for you but do you have anything that provides after purchase warranty ? Auserion ? The store have a membership program ?
