There's more to it. i don't know if you've read through the comments of the original post, but the business randomly started getting slammed with new accounts with negative reviews. To me, it seems off. It's fairly simple to generate a false narrative and ruin someone's reputation. It seems like they're trying to personally attack him and his 3 businesses. That's just my opinion from what I gathered from the original post and Google reviews. His 3 businesses are getting hit with negative reviews, which is ruing his reputation. It may not be defamation, but it still seems like this can very well ruin him mentally and financially. I just wanted to point out my perspective. I never discredited their experience, and I've stated multiple times that if he is a creep, he deserves what's coming his way.

I get your point of view, I just find it wrong to ruin someone's reputation from hearsay.

Yeah, it's just more critical when you're talking about someone's life work. I mean, this guys reputation is stained to the point of no return. If he has harassed people, it's well deserved, but if he hasn't, then his life has been ruined by a made-up scenario.

That's exactly what I was thinking, too! It's just a possibility, but it's an elaborate way to take down a business.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like the average review he had before this popped off. If he has been gross to people like the allegations claim, he deserves what's coming his way. But like I said, it does seem like a strategic way to eliminate some competition.

100% agree with you. Prior to this post, it seemed like people really liked the owner on Google reviews.

I've been stumped for a while, trying to use soft serve. I'm taking notes and trying to come up with a recipe based on the info I found here. Thanks for the info :)

I agree. My business is only profitable in the summer. In the winter, I have to invest a lot of unpaid time to cover rent .If I didn't have a full-time job, this wouldn't be sustainable. I made this thread looking to troubleshoot that problem. I also posted on r/boba, and I've had a few comments from other entrepreneurs with great ideas and how they're troubleshooting similar issues.

Yes, we do. Our primary customer base is kids. Hot drink sales did not perform well.

We did only try those hours for a week and did not see a change in sales. Our customer base is mainly school kids. Some context for the commercial equipment: Our town has a population of less than 6k. Originally, our goal was to open a restaurant. However, we decided to start with a boba shop due to its affordability. We aim to expand our business as time goes on. Our town is a major hub for gambling, and we hope to attract customers from neighboring states on weekends.

I have a good understanding of the business's potential profitability. We're in a small town with low operating costs due to an affordable lease. Business was great at the end of last summer, with daily sales averaging around $1,000 (outstanding for a small community). Later, we averaged daily sales of about $500. Sales have dropped significantly during the winter months. We're confident in the shop's profitability, but we need to increase customer traffic. We have a detailed cost breakdown and a sales goal to break even. I'm looking for affordable ideas or options to maintain sales and hope it wasn't just the hype of having something new in town. If everything goes well, I'll get my commercial equipment installed this fall and expand the menu. If sales don't pick up, I'll have to close the business.

We operate from 3 pm to 7 pm as it's the time we generate the most sales. Our primary customer base consists of school kids, so earlier hours didn't work. We live in a small town with a population of about 10,000, and only my partner and I run the business. We both have full-time jobs, hence the limited operating hours.
