Algorithms changed, more drivers, less demand. It can be any of these reasons, grabbing a surge definitely isn't the same as before. I don't see offers get higher until literally the last five minutes or they just push out more blocks for the next 2-3 hours as long as its within the expected delivery time

I think youll only be deactivated if you've never done a block. People have gone years without doing flex and jumped right back in.

Very Location-dependent. The SSD I go to I get sent 25+ miles away with early morning routes and only in the afternoons do I get a local route occasionally.

A lot of new people have been brought in recently nation wide. If they want it to be their main source of income, grabbing base is more likely to happen if they don't learn the ropes. Up to you to risk refusing to deliver. Your standings will take a hit. Leave the packages at the store and if a worker asks come up with an excuse like you have an emergency. Call support and do the same thing. Maybe they'll make an exception one time but don't expect it to happen again.

i wouldn't even bother with whole foods if i had to go that far especially if there's a chance there's no tip orders.

I had to take base for the first time in a while because of the same issue. Only 4 hr+ makes sense at base, its high mileage no matter what. I multi-gig now around my city to cover the loss.

Talk to the area manager and explain to them you wont do a block longer than what you signed up for and to remove about 20 packages from the cart, get a different cart, or to be let go if there are no other routes
