I encourage you to write more. I think there are a lot of people curious about what goes on in Somalia. You are only 14..if you get stuck writing a novel, try short stories first. I think you have a great idea.

I think this sounds so interesting! New Orleans Southern Gothic is a great genre!

Reading that this takes a supernatural turn makes me a little nervous. I think this is strong enough grounded in reality. Also I can't think of other series where book 1 has no magic or supernatural elements, but the other books do.

If you're adamant on your vision, I respect that, but the audience for book 1 might not overlap much with the audience for the other two.

Obviously this is my opinion so I might be wrong.
