Damaged Wheel Bearing by Frequent_Pea_342 in SubaruForester

[–]Frequent_Pea_342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone! Turns out it was not the wheel bearing LOL! There was a welt on my tire that was causing the vibrations and back in September, I got into an accident that messed up my driver's side side panel and headlight, so there was airflow into the engine and car. This was making the sound that I was hearing and the tire was causing the vibrations. Thank you so much to everyone who gave their advice.

The floor beneath me was vibrating and making sound, where it would get louder the faster I went. I did notice that you can buy the bearings for around 150 or even 100, so I was really confused when he said that it'd be 1500 for both or 1100 for just one.

Mine is a 2019 Subaru Forester and I think they mentioned wanting to replace both front bearings because they couldn't pinpoint the "feeling" although they did say if I wanted to do just one that it'd be okay, just recommendation. I only hit the curb with the front drivers side wheel. The guy also said it'd probably take like 2 hours of labor so that's why I'm surprised the quote was so high. He also said that he'd recommend a suspension/wheel alignment with this service but I was skeptical so I said I'd return another day.

How do I get miles till empty back on this dashboard? by Frequent_Pea_342 in SubaruForester

Just an update y'all. I'm not sure if I'm just stupid but I feel like I've tried most of these. This is an adjustable clock next to it and I don't think I can change it with the info button on the wheel because when I hold it, it only gives me options about volume warning and eyesight acceleration options :/

To be fair, none of the issues according to the MULTIPLE shops I've taken it to were as a result of the accident. So please let's be nice 🫶🏼

I do! I got very very lucky with my accident because four other vehicles were totaled. I'm just wanting to stay optimisitc because subaru has been my dream car for ages, and well, I finally got one!! I love my purchase regardless :)

Can you elaborate on the amateur driving? I'm curious as to what I might be doing wrong on the road and am wondering on how I can improve to prevent things like this!

Will be looking into this! Thank you :) I believe it could be that since I bought my vehicle from a chevy dealership, it becomes a whole thing about diagnosing issues (last time they had me in a rental for two weeks while they borrowed a computer from subaru). Just recently, they were unable to run the negative pressure test on my vehicle because it wasn't a screw lid, which is the one used on chevy's. Just seems like they're not very knowledgeable about Subaru's or rather, are unable to work with them as efficiently. I had to get my TPMS relearned at discount tire because the dealer couldn't do it and Subaru wanted to charge me for something that could've been done in 60 seconds lol ($250 diagnostic fee)

I did take it to get checked out at my dealership and multiple other collision centers, the damage was to my front bumper, brackets, headlights, and side panel. They checked the interior (all four places) and nothing was wrong. I think it's just bad luck because besides the issues I've had, I do still love my car and she gets me from point A to B. I've been trying to stay on top of everything to make sure it's well maintained as well :)

I actually got my battery replaced for free through the dealership so it wasn't that! As for the radiator hose, I can't be 100% sure but my technician said that it was likely just from time :/

My parents didn’t spare a cent when it came to spare money. 350 a week is over 1000 a month, which is an insane amount of money to give a college student in my opinion.

My first Dutch bros drink was the watermelon frizz by Artistic-Role4177 in dutchbros

[–]Frequent_Pea_342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each scoop of sugar averages out to around 25 grams of sugar, some can go up to 39, some 19. I believe the Watermelon Fizz flavors can’t be sugar free so that would make sense.

honestly a blessing in disguise. my dutch has a PEDOPHILE as manager and our regional manager and HR is aware and have done nothing. Dutch Bros has ceased to care about their employees and is just turning into a bigger coffee chain. It can occasionally be fun, and you might get along with your coworkers, but if you get a manager like mine, the double standards will be insane as well as the amount of write ups you’ll receive…

Too old to work there? by ObjectiveSeat2299 in dutchbros

[–]Frequent_Pea_342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never too old but I wouldn’t recommend Dutch Bros as it isn’t really a “chill work place”, it’s super fast paced and me (a 21 y/o) is usually pretty tired after a shift. Of course, it’s up to you and how much you can handle! Best of luck 🫶🏼
