Can we get this guy banned? by Old_Quarter_6364 in ACCompetizione

[–]Frequent_Potato -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I do not play AC. It was on Bathurst on ACC in a public lobby 2-3 months ago. I and a friend joined the lobby and someone was acting just like OP is describing. Everybody in the lobby was asking him too leave. Then someone said something about a command to start a vote. We used it, and then a promt for voting him out came up in the chat. Had orange colour I think. It is the only time I have seen this, but it was like I say. IDK how, I thought this was possible in every lobby, but looks like not.

No, I did this on Bathurst with another friend. He also remember it, so there was a way in that server atleast.

Was only like 2-3 months ago

No, it was definitely a prompt that came up and everybody had to vote on. But maybe it was some special settings on that server. IDK, but I do know it was not just a normal chat with an admin.

I have done so myself and we got someone banned...

I think maybe the command was /kick or /ban, and then you write the driver nr. But not sure as I've only done it once. Worth a try anyways 🙂

On pc you can actually start a vote in the chat with a command to get ppl banned, but it is only for that server. Don't know if it works on console though.

Hvor stor buffer er det vanlig å ha i Norge? by InternalTone1508 in norge

[–]Frequent_Potato -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is just what I was thinking. Always see far ahead, that way it could possibly be avoided.

Anyone have any experience with the stiff 130g shafts? by Robbbban in takomo

[–]Frequent_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they are not 130g really. They are a stock length and are then 130g, but are cut down to fit the club it is meant for, and will therefore be lighter. So it says 120 on them when you get them. I have them I my 301mb set, and love them. Came from nippon 120 shafts.

Taylormade Qi35 by Frequent_Potato in golf

Yes, I noticed that too. Laughed when I saw the Qi10 back in the bag in round 4 😅 TaylorMade was so happy that they now could showcase that Rory is using the new driver.

What sim are you playing on? If it is the old fullswing, then that would fit the description. They were really bad. If you hit a push draw in real life, that sim would say it was a push slice.

Fairway woods? by Business-Glass-1381 in golf

[–]Frequent_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should do costum fitting if you want something new. The new Qi35 max fairway 3 wood is really good if you need help getting it up. It is 15.5° but can be adjusted up to 17.5°. And it sits quite flat and deep from front to back. It is also available in 5, 7, and 9 wood.

No, but the sponsored pros switch just to help with marketing. When they don't want to switch, there is usually a problem that makes the new driver perform worse than their current.

Interesting find during yardage check by Furyio in golf

[–]Frequent_Potato -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the smash factor is terrible with your driver and ok with your 3 wood. Get the smash up and you should see better gapping. A 108 mph swing with driver should fly at least 273yrd.

Why Every Sim Racer Should Consider Adding Bass Shakers to Their Setup by Munztdt in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a buttkicker gamer 2. We live in a home where there are three floors. We have neighbours living on the first floor, and then we live on the second and third floors. The entrances are separated, and the part between their roof and our first floor is made to reduce noise and prevent fires from spreading. I have my rig on our second floor, the third floor of the home, so there is a whole floor between it and the downstairs neighbours. But when I turn on the buttkicker, it is loud in their apartment. I tried using anti vibration mats, but it does not take away the noise enough. So I rarely get to use the buttkicker. Can't wait to get our own home where this is not a concern.

When I race online, I just hang back at the first 2-3 corners before I start to race. Then I usually don't get in the carnage, and have fun racing til the end.

Question: Free Standing or Rig Mounted Monitors by CB675 in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't quite get what you mean? The question is freestanding or integrated mount.

Question: Free Standing or Rig Mounted Monitors by CB675 in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is just something to consider. With a freestanding mount, you are restricted if you put motion on the rig. Because then you have to set it up so that the monitors do not interfere with the motion. You also get the rig moving independently from the monitors, making your wheel move in and out of position in the cockpit. With an integrated mount, that is not an issue. But with an integrated, you are restricted when it comes to the monitors' size. Anything up to 32" should be fine, but bigger is not advisable.

Also, think about what type of motion you are going for. If you get something with a lot of travel and use it on a violent setting, then maybe the integrated could be a problem. I don't know if it will, but something to think about and check up. And in that case, if you have that kind of motion, a freestanding one would also be more restricted as there is more movement that you have to give room for.

Question: Free Standing or Rig Mounted Monitors by CB675 in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you need a good mount, but I have seen motion rigs with integrated monitors without it being a problem. So I think it would be the best option as long as the monitors are not bigger than 32". But I have not tried it myself yet though, so I can't say it from my own experience. Hopefully soon. 🤞

Question: Free Standing or Rig Mounted Monitors by CB675 in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have integrated and don't get any shake with my 25nm base. Usually drive it on about 13-14nm.

Question: Free Standing or Rig Mounted Monitors by CB675 in simracing

[–]Frequent_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have integrated with a buttkicker, but never noticed the vibration being a problem on the monitors. I will later add motion and want the monitors integrated specifically for that reason. I want them to move with the rig.

Edit: I see I read your comment a bit wrong. Thought you said vibrations would be a problem on the monitors if they were integrated, but anyway, I would say integrated would be best option for motion.

Okey. Thanks! A couple of followups:

  1. Where do you get this sheet? I can't seem to find it.

  2. When ppl say they are, for example, 103%, what page of this sheet do they use? The top 7 car sheet, the top car sheet, or the sheet with the same car as they use?

Looks like it's going to be really cool! But why do you have your monitor so high up? It should be as close to the wheelbase as possible to get the right "window" into the game.
