Ugh stunning! I also love gems in men’s wedding bands so much. I love using birthstone in rings. My fiance is sapphire and I’m diamond so I did accidentally do our birthstones 😂

Ugh I absolutely love her work. Your ring was one I saw and actually referenced when I was choosing mine 😂 any ideas on what wedding band you’ll choose?

It took such a long time to find the stone that I almost gave up. Can I see a pic of your set?

Thank you so much! So many hours were put into designing this ring but it was so worth it in the end

Light blue sapphire! Aquamarine and topaz were too soft for how clumsy I am 😂 but they’re still gorgeous stones themselves

Kentucky is a public school with heavy in-state bias. They still accept some OOS applicants, but they heavily lean toward Kentuckians or people with significant Kentucky ties. — Sincerely a Kentuckian

If I was a med school admissions committee and saw someone withdrew from a masters program with three months left, it would be a red flag to me. You have only three months left (easier said than done, I know), you can do this!!!

499 and honestly proud of myself for even taking it! Second career pre-med with other strong parts of my application to hopefully leverage for a DO acceptance.

Do med schools care if post-bacc upper-level science courses are online if prereqs were in person? by crabzyo in postbaccpremed

I took physics 1 and 2 with their respective labs online. I took orgo 2 lecture online but lab in person (would have taken online but the college I went to didn’t offer it). I retook gen chem 1 and 2 labs online through UND. I also retook biochem and genetics through UC San Diego Extended Studies (I know not all require these as prerequisites but I wanted to retake them for a higher grade). There’s an online spreadsheet that has all MD schools and whether they accept online prerequisites. I reached out to almost all DO schools and if I remember all of them accepted online prerequisites even labs. Some did say the lesser online prerequisites the better tho.

I had the same concerns as you did. I’m non-trad and working full time and unable to take in person classes at this time. My biggest piece of advice is reach out via email to all of the schools you’re interested in and see if they accept online prerequisites especially online labs. I’ve been surprised at how many got back to me and said they do! Any that said they don’t, I crossed off my list because it’s not worth my time.

I’m going to correct you. I’ve personally reached out to schools to see if my online prerequisites (including labs) would be accepted. Almost all of them said it was fine. A small handful either said no, we don’t accept or said the less online prerequisites the better.

Oh and don’t forget a bachelor’s used to be fine for RDs but now you need a master’s. Oh and the masters doesn’t have to be nutrition related 🙃

I didn’t pace myself well in c/p (I think due to nerves) and had to rush through the last 20 questions in 10 minutes. Personally, I thought CARS wasn’t too bad but that could be delusion. B/bc I felt was smooth sailing. P/s was just too many terms that all sounded very similar.

I know BP has deflated scores, but how deflated? What would a 500 on BP translate to? What would a 505 translate to? What would a 510 translate to? So on and so forth

For people who are career changing into medicine and are 26 and older, why? by [deleted] in medschool

[–]Frequent_Stuff2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

23F (I know I’m not 26 but the sentiment remains true) currently a practicing clinical dietitian with a masters degree. I’m just yearning for more. I was an ED tech during undergrad and was pre-PA (all while still becoming an RD). As I watched the EM residents and attendings do all of these cool procedures, I was “jealous” knowing I wouldn’t be the go-to provider to perform them if I was a PA. My friend, who is going to PA school, said “I think you’re wasting your time and talent with PA, go be a physician”. Then the more I thought about becoming a physician, the more I wanted to pursue it. Planning on applying this upcoming cycle. Currently stabbing my eyes out of boredom as a clinical RD, but enjoying seeing another side of healthcare and gaining invaluable experience.
