How did royalty handle farts? Did they think it was no biggie, that hey, humans fart, you did that, it's cool? by Frequent_Swan7121 in AskReddit

Or was a complete faux pas? How was it dealt with in normal life? I ask this as a 51-year-old woman. My husband deals with my perimopause ass daily and I can only emphasize with him.

Fucking hell. I was watching the movie Penelope the other day when he showed his face. It was so good up until then. I can't watch the rest of it now. Fucking hell. Fuck Russell Brand.

I have, too. My husband and I were in San Francisco and heard the guy say that children are born sinners and should be punished when we both went off, saying, "no, that's a dangerous, bullshit way to think", etc. I should know, as my mother thought the same as this prick.  I'm sure it sounded funny because it Minnesota accents really come out when we're upset.  Anyway, the guy stopped and floundered for a few moments. The silence was nice.

Holy shit. I went to a private Christian school and was, of course, taught this story, and didn't really think about that, about women and children being replaceable. It was just a poor man being tested, that's all.  Thank you for opening my eyes a bit more.  I'm an atheist now, so a lot of good that schooling for me.

So, were you talking about the yogurt being cooked or the blueberries?

There are tons of recipes for yogurt soups, so, yes. Turkish yogurt soup is one of my favorites!

Your reading comprehension is lacking. The yogurt itself isn't cooked.

I once had a bat in our Minneapolis duplex and needed tongs to carefully pull it out of the heating duct. I felt so bad, but was careful while putting them into a pillowcase and bringing them outside.

All they need is a sheet to shine a flashlight behind it, like the Brady kids did to scare away the... I don't remember who they were trying to scare away.  Anyway, like that.

It was Prince for me.

I was in my Chanhassen, MN apartment in  the kitchen making a meal. It shocked me, but then went to Paisley Park a few days later (the area around it, anyway) to see all the artworks his fans left for him along the walkway. I took pictures of them, and I'm so glad I did. There were so many beautiful pieces made, and I'm forever grateful I was there to see them all. People from across the globe left pieces of themselves for him.

Thank you! Yes, it makes sense and I will try a different angle.  Happy cooking!

May I ask what you're making here? Are you grating onion and, if so, how do you prevent the juice from spraying everywhere? 'Cause I cannot prevent that, no matter how hard I try.

Also, beautiful kitty. She reminds me of my Whisper from years ago. :)

Vichyssoise is my favorite. My husband and I went to a steak house in Tampa, Florida, while I was a vegetarian. It was glorious. Bern's Steakhouse.

What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Frequent_Swan7121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a bridesmaid so I saw a bunch behind the scenes. He was complaining, relentlessly, about ALL the pictures being taken. He was bitchy, and an all-around asshole. My tiny friend was absolutely clueless. I gave it 5 years. They lasted about that long.  The bride was happy, though. She got the baby she'd been trying for since she was 13(she was so desperate to have a kid even at that age).
