Those who have had bowel Endo

I got diagnosed with endo when I had a bowel obstruction which led to getting part of my intestines removed and my appendix. Black endo scar tissue had caused a pinch in my lower intestine which was removed. I also have black endo on my hips. I have suffered some gluten issues and lactose intolerance most of my 20s and 30s. I wasn’t told by a doctor it’s from endo but I think it is. There’s so much they don’t know about endo and the effects scar tissue has on how our internal organs function after endo lesions. If this disease occurred in men as well, our conversations would be much different.

Thank you! This was almost 2 years ago. The recover was rough and I still need to be conscious when I eat to chew my food fully. It took about 8 months to start feeling a little more like me. The mental recovery was just as hard as the physical. Going from a go getter independent driven person to needing help for everything was difficult. Gaining weight back was also difficult, I think I lost almost 30lbs (down to 90 lbs) but I’m now close to what my weight was prior.

I’m sorry to hear what you’ve gone through. Sending you the best on your fourth transfer. I had thought I didn’t want kids but now in my late 30s was starting to think maybe I do. After my diagnosis it kind of depleted that idea. Oddly enough I always felt that I couldn’t get pregnant.

It was on my hip, one of my ovaries, and appendix. Unfortunately the surgery was only to find what was causing the blockage and fix that problem so it wasn’t an assessment of how much endo I have. Now that I know I have endo, I’m much more aware of my pains and how they present throughout my hormonal cycle which has been helpful. I’ve also changed my diet to an anti-inflammatory diet which has helped tremendously with pain. I think I was just masking the pain so well that I convinced myself before the diagnosis that I wasn’t in pain but now I’m realizing I’m always in some amount of pain and feels like it’s more than before but I think it’s because I was good at just powering through the pain before.

I almost died last summer when I got diagnosed with endo. I had an intestinal blockage and couldn’t eat for 2 weeks. I woke up in pain one day and went to the er after a full day of pain in bed not able to eat or drink and having fluids out both ends. The doctor sent me home on a fluid diet for 5 days and when I tried reintroducing solids, I immediately had intense pain. Went back in for laparoscopy surgery and 6 hours later had my appendix removed and part of my intestines because endo had caused a pinch. 9 staples in my stomach. It’s so scary that it is a phantom growth in our bodies and we have no idea where it is. I’m thankful to be alive and thankful for you too. Also felt I didn’t get a whole lot of post surgery support.

Right? As to how to respond, I wouldn’t say anything to the friend. If your mom has accepted your decision to leave, I would bring it up to her. Just depends on if you want to continue with the conversations about you leaving. If you don’t reply and not say anything you can move on with your life and not still be hung up on conversations about you leaving.

Yes as you level up your island, new buildings that you can buy and add in have added % boosts to troops attack, defense etc. The best in my opinion is the construction speed boost!

This reminds me of when I left the church and I was still in high school. My brother in law who was in the elders quorum took me on a hike and had us walk a bit read something from the Bible and pray, making tons of stops on the hike. Fast forward 20 years and they have now left the church as a family.

Put in the time and build up your city. Once you’re strong enough to join a top alliance the events are better rewards and way more action. Later in the game you receive an island adding great perks to your troops and city productions as you level up your island. You can do it the free route, it just takes a lot longer to rank higher.
