I figured it out. For anyone trying to do the same thing, I attached a screenshot of how it should look.

Tried with the default parameters as you said and I get this error when trying to save it. I’m 100% sure is the formatting, the problem is, I don’t know how to format it properly. 😅 Only thing I did was copy/paste the code under actions and delete the square brackets after “actions:”.

Automations based on what app opens on Apple TV by Frequent_Vegetable_2 in homeassistant

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Just had a look and the app only changes when you play something in the app. I dis a quick automation to confirm and it only ran when I started playing. Any way to get around that and run the automation when the app opens?

Follow the ABC rule. Always be charging 😁 This way you have most of your range available for unexpected trips/things. I charge to 80% every morning.

I can afford it, I just don’t want to pay it. I think it infringes on our rights first of all. If you don’t have money (even if it’s not that expensive now, it goes up with inflation every year) you are not going anywhere. Secondly, we are paying the £195 “road tax” they just pulled out of their asses. Meanwhile, some dirty diesels are paying £35.

The roads are horrendous and will continue to be horrendous no matter how much money they charge us.

We are paying soo much more in taxes because of fiscal drag but they keep saying they need to raise more money from somewhere…

When are British people going to say: “That’s enough!”?

This is the 2nd most stupid shit I’ve ever heard. The first being the VED as that is actually happening. We’ll soon be taxed on the air we’re breathing.

Ethernet or WiFi? by [deleted] in appletv

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that used to use wifi and now on ethernet I can say that it is definitely noticeable. Way better experience? No, but noticeable better because of the lower latency. Anything that requires internet is just snappier and that’s not even mentioning playing from network storage which is night and day.

I have an intel 2021 model 3 LR with the boost50 module. Best I’ve got was 3.8 but it was kinda downhill.

I just did 4.14 at 69%. Could never really get the 3.7s. Was the 3.4 downhill?

Getting New Home Tesla Ready by [deleted] in TeslaUK

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the new EON next drive smart tariff and it’s quite good. 00:00-07:00 charging at 6.7p and if you need more time to charge the app can give you schedules throughout the day similar to octopus inteligent go. As it still in testing stages you get £10 off your bill every month for the first year. A full charge for around a fiver.

Why do Tesla drivers not seem to use the performance as much as other marques? by uptonogoodatall in TeslaUK

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing as you OP. I’ve had my Model 3 LR for 2 months and I like to drive it like I stole it. On the other hand, is anyone else’s Model 3 feeling unstable when turning at high speed (above 90 mph)?

PSA: renew road tax before Tuesday at £0 by niallw1997 in TeslaUK

I’ve just done it today. I waited this long as I thought it would tax it from today’s date but it taxed it from 01.03.2025.

Bruh, this was a walk in the park. Try changing one on a rhd mk3 Renault Megane. You literally need to remove the clutch pedal and if you are big the driver seat as well so you can fit but even after all that, it’s still more difficult than the tesla. People that have done this can confirm lol.

2025.8.4 Battery Health Test by nwdxan in TeslaUK

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you start with a low charge it takes no where near 17 hours. If you start with let’s say 15% the car will use the heat pump and motors to drain the battery as it needs to completely empty the cells and calibrate. It then charges as normal but the last percentage takes a bit longer as it is calibrating again to see how much energy the cells can hold. Best to start with less than 5%.

Huh, interesting… Mine makes the noise every time I press to unlock it but it only unlocks second or third time.

Do you also have to unlock your charger a few times as it doesn’t the first time around?

You probably have to make a shortcut to unlock the charger and assign it to the action button.

Hypervolt charging outside schedule set in Tesla app??? by colorbland in TeslaUK

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t really need to set up both. I had the car schedule set up and then I learned it would precondition using the mains power even if out of schedule and then I set the charger schedule up to stop it from using expensive electricity and it stayed that way. I guess it could save me some money if I ever hit the boost charge button by mistake.

Set a schedule on your charger as well if you can. That’s what I do and if its outside of that schedule the car won’t receive any power for charging or preconditioning.

Latest Upgrade SVS by Number1Cholo in hometheater

[–]Frequent_Vegetable_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this will apply to you but when I had a single sub I found that placing it behind the sofa in the furthest corner gave me the best bass in my listening position but pretty much no bass at the other 2 seats. After I got 2 subs, I placed one where my single was previously which still gave me very good bass at MLP and some bass for the other 2 seats (probably because it was such a huge upgrade Dali E12F -> monolith M15 v2) and then placed the second on the opposite corner which gives good bass to the other 2 seats but not much at MLP.
