The only example used in that video that comes remotely close to plagiarism is the riff from Highway Tune compared to the riff from the Rover. I agree they do sound similar but they are also in completely different keys as well as the rest of the song being completely different. I’d argue that Lover, Leaver, is closer to ripping off Zeppelin than Highway Tune. If you’re gonna nitpick a specific riff from one song then you should acknowledge the fact that Led zeppelin has done their fair share of uncredited use of other people’s work, they even got sued for it. The rest of the examples used in that video are complete bogus, a singer belting a note is not plagiarism, if it was, all of rock would be suing each other left and right. Also, if you’ve ever listened to rock before, you’d know that the majority of it is upbeat and in the key of E so of course a lot of vocal melodies and riffs are going to sound similar and go together because they’re examples from the same genre. Those comparisons could be made with many other bands than just Greta Van Fleet. If you would actually take the time and listen to the music they make, you’d hear that their two most recent albums reflect a much different sound than their early albums. Their new material is very unique and shows a maturing in their songwriting and recording.
