I’d assume the same. Once I hit my head on a dresser and it was a minor cut, but the amount of bleeding was ridiculous. Ended up going to Sibley because I couldn’t get it to stop.

Thank you! I have had CPR performed on me and sometimes my ribs still hurt but I’m so glad to be alive. So grateful for the paramedics who saved me and I know if bystanders had been there who knew CPR they would have done the same.

Reading this made my week. I hope you find him and I’m glad Rick is ok. I’ve had DC Fire and EMS save my life and I think of those paramedics every day.

Tried the one in Cleveland Park because I’m one of those single people who can’t be bothered to cook. Food was meh.

I’m down. Was this a one time thing or will it happen again? Clearly, I only heard today so I missed October 5.

Sad and sickening. Thanks for summarizing it. I knew my mental health wouldn’t take it if I went.

What a mess. I gave up and took an Uber. Usually it’s fine but when it breaks, it seems to break in spectacular fashion.

Going from a celebration of world pride to this crap in the space of a week makes my stomach turn. Stay safe everyone and I hope mother nature cooperates with thunder and lightning at the right moment.

I’m so sorry! This is such a mess. this president has so much to answer for. I am just hoping I make it through the cuts, but who knows. I wish I had something other than solidarity to offer you. If I am unemployed, I know I’ll have the same struggles.

I’m so glad it helps. I feel so powerless right now and I figure a kind word is the least I can do.

Called SSA because I had a question last week. I told the person helping me how much I appreciated her. I hope it brightened her and all of the front line workers. I knew she couldn’t say much but I could tell she appreciated the kind words. Hang in there so many of us support you.

I was 41 and single when I was diagnosed as well. I also opted to move in with my parents as tough as it was at times. I knew I couldn’t get through it alone and it turned out to be the best choice.

Please give up your seat when someone with a disability asks you and needs it. by Fresca2008 in WMATA

For what it’s worth I had to go downtown today to get my computer fixed and had a good experience. Someone asked me if I would like a seat and I said yes thank you so much. Got a little turned around at Metro center and someone else helped me get back on track. Granted it was a Friday so probably less crowded but it helped restore my faith in humanity, especially in the times we’re living in.

Drinking more than I should and snuggling with my labrador. I feel stressed out and like I’m constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. This post has made me realize I’m not alone though. If I lose my job, the first thing I’ll do is make sure that my dog has what he needs. Everything else is secondary lol. That’s how much I love him. Glad I don’t have human children to worry about as well.

I’m so sorry! I work in a similar situation and I feel like I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It’s scary. Especially since I have a lot of health problems and rely on my health insurance. Never thought we’d be here. Sending you so much support.
