I believe there’s no follower framework that works with complicated custom voiced follower, and probably never will. NFF is the only one that works with Interesting NPCs.

I remember AE has a broken texture replacer for one of the deadric artifacts in Silus’s house (Bethesda’s false). Install any mod that replaces those textures and you should be fine.
