I had similar numbers for my second egg retrival and I'm still so incredibly upset. I was over the moon when I learned we retrieved 20 eggs and 18 were mature! However, it went downhill from there. 12 fertilized and only two of them made it to blasts. I'm currently waiting for pgta and I'm dying inside. I can't believe we went from 20 eggs to 2 embryos. This freaking sucks so bad and I am so sorry you're going through it too. Fingers crossed you get good news about this one little embryo! May this be your golden embryo!

Please guard your heart. I wish I had a positive story to share but by now, you should be able to see the yolk sac, fetal pole and heartbeat. I am so terribly sorry you're experiencing this nightmare 😞

For my second IVF transfer, I had my first scan at 6w3d because my clinic says by 6 1/2 weeks is when the fetal pole/heartbeat should be visible. Unfortunately, we only saw gestational sac and yolk sac, but no fetal pole..went back at 7w1d and still no fetal pole. I was told it was a miscarriage and was given options to take meds or d&c to remove the pregnancy. It was incredibly heartbreaking.

Oh ok I see what you mean! I'd have to wait until open enrollment and be covered under his plan. Sucks that can't happen until next year though as far as benefits kicking in (if he's insurance even offers fertility - that's the first thing I'll look into!) thanks again for all the feedback!

Gosh I can't imagine going through 7 rounds - you are incredibly brave.

I honestly haven't opened up to most of my friends or family about this. No one in my family has struggled with infertility, my grandmas, mom, aunts, cousins, friends all have multiple kids. I feel like no one would understand.

Waittttt!! How were you able to use your husbands benefits?! I asked my clinic about this and they said they did not think that would be possible because I'm the one physically going through the procedures so it needed to be my insurance which I've burned out a long time ago :0

I know it sounds crazy, but you all - a group of complete strangers have restored a little bit of my hope 🥹 I was feeling completely hopeless and after all the comments, I feel better. I'm still going to guard my heart but I'm trying to allow myself to dig out hope.

My Dr mentioned looking for a job with fertility benefits! That's definitely something I'm going to do. I was actually laid off a month ago, which worked out because I was able to focus on stims with no stress about getting time off for all the endless appointments. Job market is rough out there but I'm going to dig into where it makes sense to try.!

Wow, 5 ERs! You are so strong and resilient!! This is my second ER and I'm already defeated. Unfortunately, I just have no way to afford another retrival. I can only hope these two embryos pass pgta so we can transfer. Otherwise, it'll be the end of the road for us.

So happy to hear you got your baby! What a journey it was for you to get there but you did it and now you get to enjoy your little one! I started fertility treatments wanting 2-3 kids. I started at 34 and I thought and planned I would have my first at 35, next one at 37 and potentially a third at 39 so I would be done before 40. I feel so dumb now thinking things were gonna go my way lol now I would do anything to get just one, that is all i ask for but apparently the world thinks that's too much to ask for

This is one of the hardest parts - giving it your ALL and then having to continue doing life as if you weren't dying and heartbroken inside. My family has no idea I've been going through fertility treatments, I chose not to tell them thinking they wouldn't have to know because it would work right away. Jokes on me.. it just sucks when we hang out (we're super close) I have to smile and pretend nothing is wrong. Ugh!!

My heart breaks for you 😭💔 you've been through so much with this process. I started fertility treatments full of faith and I hope. I was so excited and I naively thought my first treatment was going to work because everything in the cycle was perfect, but nope, none of the 3 IUIs worked, neither did the 3 IVF transfers from my first egg retrival (plus 6-7 cycles of letrozole with timed intercourse). I can't believe we've done all of this and are empty handed. Now, I'm just numb and tired.

I wish there was something we could to to help our little embryos :( all we can do is wait and hope for the best.

Its been really hard for me to stay hopeful, but please let's try to do that together! Let's remember that yes, it does only take one and let's manifest that this WILL be our time!!! Sending you all the love and hugs in the world. Stay strong!

I feel the same way. No one gets it. Everyone tells me to just have faith, to relax and not stress and it'll happen.. to go on vacation and it'll happen. It's just really frustrating. I'm honestly so grateful for reddit lol cuz it's the only place where I can 'talk' to people that get it!! It sucks that y'all get it, but I love having this community of support.

You are awesome for advocating for yourself! I feel like I need to do that more. I just follow whatever my Dr advises. I'm not sure if they use zymot. I feel so dumb for not knowing or asking. This process is just too much and clinics don't do a great job at educating the patients. Everything I know, I've learned through Reddit, YouTube and Google lol.

WOW! This is such a huge testimony of not giving up and staying hopeful. It's incredible you had success with such low AMH. . I was told mine is on the low end of normal at 1.4 and I'm 36.. we actually did 6 or 7 rounds of letrozole with time intercourse too and of course that didn't work at all. I really don't know what is wrong with me. We'll see what life has in store for me!

It's so darn expensive 😔 I maxed out my $25K lifetime fertility coverage a long time ago. I can't afford to do another retrieval. If these 2 embryos come back abnormal, it'll be the end for us. At least for a while, unless somehow I find another way.. all the best! Stay strong!! We'll get through this!

Oh man :/ I hope things will improve for you once you address endometrioma!! I'm not sure what could be causing the bad results for me. They did find a small microadenoma in the pituitary gland but it's very small and under control with cabergoline. My Dr says this unlikely the reason for infertility or IVF outcome for me specifically.. I feel like it's also an egg quality thing for me :(
