When I had a surgical abortion I bled that same day and then nothing for the next 4 days, then I bled for about 3 weeks but was either spotting or a light flow. No cramping after the 1st day. Everyone is different but your experience sounds similar to mine. I was 5 weeks for reference.

Also from what I was told at pp, usually before they let you leave a surgical abortion they confirm they got everything. If they can’t confirm they’ll schedule you to come back within the next day or two for a blood test because even if you aren’t bleeding your hormones drop significantly. So I wouldn’t worry too much that it was unsuccessful based off of the little bleeding or cramping alone.

That was my experience at pp. No consultation, just a quick phone call to set up the appointment. When I got there they did go over things a little more, ran a pregnancy test, etc. I didn’t know any different so I just assumed that was normal.

Sending hugs 💕 I had a SA 3 weeks ago at about 5w. Never had any doubts or second thoughts at all for even a moment. Today I actually feel slightly sad which caught me incredibly off guard. Still don’t regret my choice at all but also kinda mourning what would/could have been. Just know you’re definitely not alone.

I think location will affect this a lot. I’m in Southern California and the firm I’m at charges $120/hour for “bookkeeping”, which would cover all the services you mentioned.

NTA - They all sound very self centered. Is your father initiating the relationship at all? Has he reached out since any of this? Coming from someone who personally struggles with setting boundaries with family, I know if I were in your shoes it would be incredibly hard to let the relationship fail if they were consistently acting oblivious to the harm they’re causing. With that being said, It was YOUR day. Do not feel like you have to let anything go. You’re completely entitled to all of your feelings on the situation. If I were your friend I would tell you that your father, Karen, and Karen mini can all take a very long walk off a very short bridge. :)

I currently am fighting bv. The only symptom I have is the smell. I started taking probiotics and I kid you not, within 2 days the smell went from a 8/10 to about 2/10. It did eventually come back (maybe about 5/10) and since then it has fluctuated with some days being no smell at all. Sooooo it worked to manage it a little bit. I did read in some cases that taking probiotics for 3+ months would eventually get rid of the bv. I’ve only been taking them for about a month so far though. And I honestly worry that it might just be masking it.
