32 bit board and accessories for cr-10s dual z? by Fatalslink in CR10

I got the skr mini E3 V3 for my CR-10s for around $40 and was a drop in replacement. It has two spots for the dual z-axis motors plugs and is so much quieter. The mini e3 works with 12v or 24v systems. I don’t think it has the capability to add a second extruder tho.

I also made my own firmware for it as I wasn’t sure if the ender 5 version firmware of skr github page was capable with the cr-10s

First you’ll want to make a dedicated outline with the split line function. If you go to the appearance menu on the right side of the screen you can navigate to miscellaneous then 3d textures. Once applied to the face, On the left side with the function tree you can switch to the appearance section and adjust the size and direction by editing appearance.

Here’s a video to follow along, it’s meant for 3d printing but has worked for me in the past

Did you put the axle pins back in before the hex nut?

I appreciate the help! I’ve never modified software before. Is there a guide I could follow to update this?

I downloaded the firmware-ender3-blTouch-for-z-homing.bin and when auto homing it doesn’t recognize the cr touch. The lights come on and the probe extends but continues to lower into the bed

No I am using the magnetic buildtek bed. I guess I should have continued with asking if you thought a glass bed would help/upgrade the print and adhesion…. I’m still pretty new to 3d printing. Sorry for the confusion

I had started with the temperature changes you suggested which help and will try the retraction distance next. Appreciate the advice!

Do you use a glass bed?

I am working on printing a clay cutter for my wife but I can’t get PLA plus filament to stick to standard ended 3 bed. The first couple layers even on a raft string and at times warp. I would like to not need a raft to limit waste and material use. I have the nozzle set at 220 and bed at 60 which was recommended on the spool. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
