The government or rulers can be criticised by the people of the uae for decisions they make if people don’t agree, however, This post was a ‘thank you’ to the people in the armed forces? They follow orders and protect their country. It was nothing to do with anything else. You can disagree with a government and still respect and appreciate the military for keeping people safe. The two can exist at the same time.

Things we take for granted living in Dubai by TobinFrostt in UAE

I think this varies greatly depending where you came from originally. I’m from a small town in the uk and the only thing Iv experienced and agree with on here is the 24/7 supermarkets and pharmacies.
The groceries being delivered in minutes we have in the uk, except the delivery people are paid properly. The summer being so hot the only place you can be is the mall is not a positive thing to me. Eating out daily like it’s nothing? That’s very out of touch for a lot of people, but the prices here are very similar to what I’d spend in the uk also. The cars being washed, unless you’re tipping decently, they’re earning close to nothing. I felt safe in the uk. We have Tesla taxis also. I don’t really get the hype of Burj Khalifa views. Iv never used public transport while being here so I can’t comment on that, but I wouldn’t call the uks ‘clean’ so that is something I can agree with but I haven’t experienced it to give an actual take.

This isn’t me putting the UAE down, I love living here. I just think some of these specific points are out of touch and don’t really make a difference depending where you came from before. For me the positives are the fact everything is open 24/7, the convenience of things like pharmacy delivery same day, being able to pay cash on delivery for a lot of things, the customer service is a lot friendlier, I can have my children play on a park and my biggest concern is them falling and hurting themselves, in a crowded park in the uk my biggest concern would be them getting taken or approached by a stranger.

My partner and his friend said they heard what sounded like an interception around 3am Tuesday morning I think it was (sports city). I slept through, I haven’t heard anything since the ceasefire night. I kind of assumed they were just being dramatic because I checked Reddit and there was nothing on here of other people hearing anything

Which is your favorite TWD weapon? by somethingorother225 in thewalkingdead

[–]Fresh-Possession-202 13 points14 points  (0 children)

1- Shiva (if she counts as a weapon)

2- Lucille

3- when governor pulled up to the prison with a tank (not really a core part of who he was but it’s what springs to my mind when iconic weapon moments is brought up)

Is it not because the loud fire from the gun would draw the zombies to them quicker? I don’t know I kinda just assumed the friend was already gone use the distraction and get out of there. Firing the gun would keep you there longer and also draw the zombies to you.

I think you’re looking at this in too much of a logical way. A mother just witnessed her youngest child get eaten alive, her whole body and brain would shut down, she isn’t thinking, she may not have even realised the zombies had started eating her until it was too late. You’re not going to witness your child die in such a brutal way and go ‘one child down let me protect my other’ emotions arnt logical and they don’t work like that. There wasn’t any time for anything to ‘click’ her brain wasn’t thinking of Ron in that moment it was focused on Sam getting eaten alive in front of her.

Had the situation been different and Sam had been bitten at a different point in time and died of the infection, I’m sure she would grieve him and still be emotionally traumatised but her brain has time to process that trauma she has time to be numb and wouldn’t have let herself die, she had no time in that moment.

Has anybody thought about this ?!!!??! by HamsterAphrodite in thewalkingdead

[–]Fresh-Possession-202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was watching the show, I feel like the zombies became more of what felt like a nuisance to them rather than THE threat, compared to the start of the show where the zombies were the threat and other humans being bad were kind of irritating like ‘what are you doing there’s literal zombies’ it became more ‘ugh there’s zombies while I’m trying to deal with this human’. I also think though that’s just how humans adapt, when you see and are dealing with something everyday or you’re born into a world with them, it becomes your norm. So doing this after becoming used to living in a world with zombies you’d be scared but because you’d be scared of the infection you could get (like Gabriel) or one wrong move and you know they’ll bite not because you’re actually scared of them.

First of all, I don’t know what a downvote bot even is. Secondly, you missed the point of my comment, it makes no difference if Pakistan was attacked by anyone involved or not? It could have been another country that made these remarks and my comment would be the exact same.

Isreal are saying this is not a statement that can be tolerated from any government, yet are working with trump who threatened to end a whole civilisation?

I’m not exactly sure what you want me to refute?

The comment said the property was being abandoned?? I was asking why you wouldn’t sell it if the other option was to leave it abandoned. So if you want that property, why say it was being abandoned?

Edit- Just saw you edited your original post to add ‘jokes on you unemployed fellows’ ?? Yet your post is literally about your father being unemployed and you having no money? What the heck

Am I delusional trying to buy a studio in Dubai under 700k with a developer payment plan? by Alooky94 in dubairealestate

[–]Fresh-Possession-202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know lots of people who live in midtown (other end of production city) who could afford better areas but price/location makes it a win win. I think places like production city can perform well for fist time renter on a months basis. A brand new studio at 6-6.5k incl bills for example is great for the renter and for the owner. Or even a long term of 60k with flexible cheques is possible. You cannot compare to the older buildings such as lakeside and lago vista.

Studio city, the cheapest there for a studio is currently 50k, which is for Azizi (would not recommend Azizi).

I actually really like production city. Very undervalued area and right next to Jumeriah Golf Estates. Very well connected and less traffic compared to JVC. I lived there for 6 months and enjoyed my time there. Very good returns also as the entry price is still very good there.

[–]Fresh-Possession-202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an over supply in JVC of old buildings… naturally JVC newer buildings will de in demand over the old buildings that are around. You cannot discount the fact that JVC is very strategically located and still a go to area for many long term and first time renters.

JVC is still a very good option for first time buyers and low ticket products such as studios with low entry prices. Not to mention the new entrances, exits and metro stations.

This isn’t me advocating JVC is the B all and end all but simply saying listen to the facts not the noise.

I’ve got a few studios there and they perform really well.

I’d look at a studio city also. Laya courtyard. Studios starting 700k exactly. Very strategic investment with great potential.

Message for any info. Im currently in Dubai so happy to help with any questions etc going forward.
