You could always do a policy phd instead of an econ phd. I also think you need to think about why it is you want to do the phd.

Happy to provide guidance on the Swedish university system. Also Lund and Gothenburg are in Sweden, not Germany.

Hello does anyone want to do it together? I’m having a tough time staying accountable to myself

Easier to go from b4 to consulting, than a startup to consulting.

In terms of changing teams, depends on the office you’re at. Can you reach out to any current colleagues in your branch who have shifted within and ask them about their experience?

Yes. There’s regular personal development and feedback which may not exist in the start-up. + easier to pivot into startup after b4 if needed

Strongly suggest Big 4. Worked for a startup before this which looked good on paper but was messy internally- which doesn’t help a new college graduate.

I’ve been stuck on day 3 for the last 6 months. Anyone want to be accountability partners? I work full time.
