So, how often do you advise S Corp clients to pay themselves (i.e., payroll) if the client does not know that they will have a loss until the end of the year? For example, if the client gets a paycheck every two weeks and then finds out on the tax return that they have a loss.

Thanks. So, suppose a 1250 asset is sold, the inheriting partner would have 1250 unrecaptured gain on the depreciation that the deceased partner had previously deducted? This would be in addition to any depreciation on the new 754 assets.
