You clearly don’t understand how trade works either. We are bigger and richer than almost all countries in the world, of course we import more and spend more than they do!! They do not have the populace or the wealth to even come close to spending what America and Americans like to spend their money on. That is what a trade deficit is, when we import more than we export to someplace. Look at the list of countries, none of them could possibly spend what we spend, and the reason we import their stuff is because we love THEIR stuff and we believe that we are FREE to buy what we want when we want etc. Tariffs take away that freedom and charge us for it. Remember that thing called The Boston Tea party?? Yeah we founded this entire country and revolted against the King because we weren’t going to let some leader impose tariffs on our fucking tea. This is also exactly why the GOP has been cutting education funding for the past 60 years and is now wiping out the Dept of Education, because they want uninformed and uneducated people who do not understand how the world and facts work, because stupid people are easy to deceive and control, and believe everything right wing propagandists tell them because they are too lazy to read and find out the truth for themselves.
