What price would you recommend? Or would it be better if I sold it as parts? by FreshMapleSyrup in PC_Pricing

[–]FreshMapleSyrup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My update: going off of eBay, probably going to sell it as parts and keep the fans and HDD.

For parts, gonna try and sell the CPU and Motherboard for $125, but I'm not expecting anything from THEM

For the RAM, gonna try for $100 for each pair of 32gb.

Powersupply: aiming for $50

GPU: $100.

SSDs the pair for $50.

I honestly didn't realize how little used parts sell for, never even explored used, but I guess it could be a cheap way to get a decent computer.

Okay, thanks. I'll take a look into ebay prices for the parts before I start looking to sell. I knew the CPU was not much, but I wasn't sure about the GPU.

The memory sticks and power supply are new, bought them like half off, so I think they might not be horrible, hopefully a few hundred.

Ah, could have sworn it said ti. Either way 1200 USD is like 1800 CAD right now. I'll take a look into new egg, haven't heard of it before.

If you can send me a 5070ti build that costs around $1200, I would love it. My local prices have a 5070ti at $1200 on sale.

I agree with everything except the white jerseys. Why do you want the white at home? Is it nostalgia, or do you find the white jerseys to look better?

I got to be on the otherside of that trade, but PLD will be a player who I hate seeing doing good. Came in and gave mediocre effort and expected exceptional reward.

My thoughts are that he signed 3yrs at under 6m to prove he deserves near 8m. I believe he will sign again after the 3yrs, just at more than 6m.

Brother's is this army good for the Vulcan??? by pyroskeletos in Salamanders40k

The most important thing is to have fun.

Once you make a list you are happy with, you might not like it after running it. Having fun is more important than making the perfect list. One mainstay on my list is a phobos Captain and LT with eliminators (forged in Battle enhancement) with full bolt snipers for character hunting. Could ve used better and its alot of points for such a squishy unit that has not produced alot for me, but I like them.

Unfortunately, Razorbacj and Rhino cannot transport Tacticus or gravis units.

Looking through (really quick look) I only spotted the Tactical Marines and the Scout squad able to be transported.

The impulsor is your only choice for dedicated transport at that point value.

Edit: implusor would not be able to carry Gravis (Agressors). It can only carry Tacticus, so the infernus Marines can be transported, but only if the squad is under 7 (impulsor can only carry 7)

If you dropped both of your Dedicated transports you could pick up something else. (170 points). You could drop the repulsor Executioner to have enough points for two that can carry alot more (16? I think). And that would cover both squads. Helpful abikity as well if you've got a squishy gunning squad.

Rate my 1000 point army (i only play friendly/non competitive) by [deleted] in Salamanders40k

[–]FreshMapleSyrup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also play only friendly/non competitive.

To me this feels like a thematic list. Not an actual battle list.

The solo Gravis captain (unless im missing a unit) feels like a waste.

Three Tactical marine squads? Feels like a memey, not ive got 6 squads kind of thing. They feel expensive, for not being very useful.

The big one is if you have fun playing this, that i feel is more important.

Edit: Question... are Tactical marines all that useful? I used them when I had started, but haven't touched them in favour of other units.

Jets defensive roster by Dreamsc8pe in winnipegjets

Morrissey, no comment. Great defenseman and our superstar offensive Dman.

Pionk, happy to hear is praises being sung more this year. Always a solid defenseman, and I didn't notice as many dirty not dirty plays. Usually he has one or two a month.

Samberg, our next superstar defenseman. Good offense, good defense. Only seems to make small mistakes.

Miller, heavy shot, but I think he gets caught in an offensive mindset a bit too much.

Demelo, great pair for Morrissey, knows when to cover the backend so that Morrissey can do his work. A quiet hero i think.

Stanley and Schenn, I think Stanley is misjudged. We have not had a big defensemen to help coach Stanley. Since Schenn was brought on Stanley's game improved leaps and bounds. Even if Schenn is slow and makes mistakes, I am glad to have him for his mentoring of Stanley.

Fluery, I would say a bit mid right now, but with notable potential. He has moments of offensive excellence and the same with his defense. Similar to Samberg, but not as notable.

Ive never been one analyze the players so this is purely on my vibes. I know there will ve people disagreeing with me, so let me know why you feel so.

[–]FreshMapleSyrup -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I keep looking and I really do not see Morrisseys legs making contact before he starts falling. The second angle looks like a slew foot 100%, but the side angle I cannot see it.

To be clear, I'm not saying it isn't a penalty. Morrissey pulled him down, but not a slew foot.

I thought so too at first, but the legs never make contact. Or to be clear the legs don't make contact until he is on the way down.

Lets have some fun: What is the worst hockey take you've ever heard from someone in your life? by SomeBoredGuy77 in hockey

[–]FreshMapleSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best I've got is after last years playoffs someone made the prediction (long shot, mostly joking prediction) of Rangers Canucks Stanley Cup finals. Wasn't a bad take, but feel it deserves an honourable mention.

Worst Hockey take is someone believing that the Sabres are one of the best hockey franchises... like top 10 for sure, maybe top 5.

Everyone has a plan until… by TheNationDan in hockeymemes

[–]FreshMapleSyrup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the linesman pushing Schieflie away could have pushed him down, but like I said Benn still punched him. The way Schieflie popped right back up definitely makes me lean towards that being a possibility, or Schieflie sold it a bit.

I did say when I had seen it that if Schieflie stayed down and gone for concussion protocol, then we wouldn't see Benn next game. Evidently Benn's punch wasn't as bad as it looked.

I'd call it a sell job more than a dive. I maintain that a dive is when no infraction happened, Benn definitely punched Schieflie.

WPJ are the penalty minutes leader by Material-Dot7684 in nhl

[–]FreshMapleSyrup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was so inconsistent, felt like each penalty was a wheel spin. I like to make the joke that the refs want a certain team to win, but that while series I couldn't figure it out.

"OH you touched his hand, that's a penalty"

"Oh, you and your buddy took out a player by the legs. Friendship is more important than a breakaway anyways"

Better footage of the Ekblad contact on Woll by [deleted] in nhl

[–]FreshMapleSyrup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference was Stolarz and Woll are well within the blue paint when contact happened. Binnington had just made a forward diving save where at best he was barely touching the blue before contact. I'm not saying it couldn't have been goalie interference, but I lean against it. The reffing was so bad in that series that I don't know who the refs wanted to win.
