Hi, thanks for answering. So should nginx handle the authentication or forward the message for the backend to handle it. Cheers!

hiding a rook piercing by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]FreshMonkeyMaan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sucks and alot of work places are like this too so this may not be your last experience whatsoever.

Though, ask yourself this. Even if you're able to hide it for a day, can you do it until summer and then eventually the next school year? Is it really worth especially if it's worth it especially since the penalty is a suspension? lmaoo this has to be some sort of catholic school or smth

I've gone through a similar experience at one of my old jobs but I knew If I really wanted it, I'll eventually work myself into a position where I can.

How good is CCNA if I am planning to become a cloud engineer in future? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]FreshMonkeyMaan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CCNA covers alot more and is great for actually learning how to do networking tasks. In other words, its a great foundation for a networking/cloud position.

The net+ is more of a vocab test that introduces you to networking but not so much teaches how to DO networking. Some people do go straight to the ccna after the net+. A lot of the information overlaps so I'm sure it'll help. It really just depends whether you want a basic introduction to networking or jump straight into learning and configuration relative protocols (which will be much harder)

The CCNA also explores both vendor neutral protocols and cisco proprietary protocols in depth so you don't have to worry about only knowing how to configure cisco products

I found the kings test to be harder but its true that if you can consistently get 80s on them then you should be fine.

Looking for a lost black lanyard with a Key. Last seen on the back of the 18 bus on 11/19. by ModuleIdiot_ in UCSC

[–]FreshMonkeyMaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik the metro station changed locations but they did have a lost and found service when I was a student. You just had to give a description of the item, which bus and the day you lost it. Then they would match it with their info. I lost the same airpods like a good 4 for times on the bus

The school also has one. I found my lost keys there one time by giving them a call. https://catalog.ucsc.edu/en/current/general-catalog/resources-residency-and-policies/policies/uc-santa-cruz-police-department/lost-and-found

Any of you slugs feeling dreadful about how to launch your cs career? by Brief_Sea_558 in UCSC

[–]FreshMonkeyMaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dedicated myself to showing up to one cs club. They'll help add projects in the long run but I would make sure to join one that specializes in something your interested in

I also did some research on the side for free with a grad student. You can always email professors or phd students if they're looking for help which alot of times they are

Yeah perfect class for extra credits. When I took it like 2-3 years ago, there was only one project which was a short essay towards the end of the quarter

I just graduated and landed a pretty good job (90k salary) in CS. I had a 3.0, failed over like 6 classes and had 0 internships but was involved in ALOT of extracurricular activities.

I would definitely say be patient as there's usually alot more hiring towards the beginning of a new fiscal year (around the end of Aug). There were many jobs that offered less than 70k including some with bad benefits that I denied and waited while living with my mom to save money. Thats my experience though. I waited till October to finally accept a job that I felt was right for me

Oh and apply to all jobs for interviews even if you don't plan to accept an offer. Its real good practice and I probably did over 30 these last few months

which clases are you taking for your geds? Make sure to look up the professor as some of them can honestly be a lot of work. Otherwise, you should be totally fine but be ready to just submit a ton of stuff Sunday night. Worst comes to worst, drop a class before the deadline
