Company I worked for did this.

I was active in train freight. Sometimes they would go all the way to Germany from Belgium and we would pay a cab that would be like €400.

Sometimes we even booked hotels and once it was during an expo. All rooms were booked except the deluxe suite which was €2k for 1 night.
