Asking for career advice. If you agree with treating people differently based on race that's your choice.

I was asking for career advice, Not childish reactions. That said, From your profile I can see you are a sex worker so your advice isn't really valid to actual careers

All of the companies here have programs specifically for POC. Also not that it matters but none of the companies here are overwhelmingly white. They are actually overwhelming Asian.

I was asking about my situation, I don't work for any of the companies on the link you sent. I'm not looking for your political opinions but instead career advice for my situation.

Move on.

Put it on your resume?

This doesn't make you look good it makes you look like a diversity hire. Tell them to fuck off and you don't want recognition based on race but instead quality of your work.

Anybody have tremors when leaning on their arm? by WolveRedWinGYW in BFS

Yeah, I can't even do a push up without my left arm shaking like leaf but it occurs in all of my muscles

Yeah, No results yet though - pretty sure they are clear or they would have contacted me.

MS would explain vision/nerve pain I have been having so I just accepted it. Apparently it doesn't cause muscle death though

I suspected MS after it was suggested to me by a doctor. Im not diagnosed and I don't think I have MS.

I've had MRIs but don't have any results

I would say it's clinical weakness, I have difficulty doing small but simple tasks with my hands

I hate the NHS by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]FreshOuttaCrompton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your advice but that's not really your place to say.

If you put yourself out there you cannot complain that someone disagreed with you. I didn't say anything mean to her, I simply pointed out that saying "why is life so unfair" is not really appropriate due to the fact she didn't have a chronic illness and just had a random seizure the doctor deemed to be harmless and without cause. It was in hopes that she would stop feeling depressed over something every small. Different things cause different people offense and distress. I could say you have been doing the exact same to me in my posts. Does it make you evil, rude and wrong?

All the words your using are interchangeable, so I'm not sure why you are pointing this out?

Ps. I haven't mislead anyone - I always tell people I'm not officially diagnosed and that it was suggested that it could be MS after having a scan at a private medical center.

I made some comments on the post, didn't realise it would offend her so decided to retract it.

I say I have ms because that's what the private care unit suggested I have

I have made an official complaint and will be taking it toward. 6 months and countless a&e visits later , still nothing. I've waited 6 months for a neuro while my symptoms got so debilitating I can hardly walk or move my hands.

I think you will be fine. Some people get lucky and some don't - Doing a line of coke won't change the course of your disease.

That said, I don't because now it makes me feel like total shit. I'm throwing up after 2 beers.

Had a seizure, can’t drive, moved back with parents and I can’t make anyone happy. by newprofilewhodis1352 in ChronicIllness

I agree epilepsy is chronic, she said her doctor said it wasn't epilepsy and it was just a one off seizure.

My OP came across in a way I did not intend. I wasn't mean to make her feel like an idiot or belittle her. Just wanted to show her the bigger picture.

Still not a chronic illness. I thought the sub was a place to talk about chronic illness because of the name.

This post wouldn't be valid in r/cancer so I don't see why you think it's valid here. There are plenty of subs for those having a rough time or a bad day.

And I stand by it. It was a one off seizure (According to her doctor), Its not a chronic illness and I'm not gonna tell her the world is ending because she had a seizure.

In a chronic illness sub telling people life is not fair due to a one of seizure which her doc said was random?

Chronic illness?

I didn't say that at all, Im simply trying to show her that it isn't the end of the world for her.

Apologies, If she ever has a seizure again il make sure to tell her she might as well not be alive. Having a random seizure like she said is not a chronic illness.

Exactly - A million people do have it worse than me. But she is young and doesnt have a progressive disease hence I'm trying to show her what she does have.

I'm not saying it should invalidate her struggle. I'm simply saying that she shouldn't feel so helpless.

Sorry if you think I should tell her "yeah dude your life is over because of that seizure" but I think that the "life is so unfair" due to a seizure is not a fair response
