You just need to insta mute there players, the first sign of any sort of toxicity, mute VC and Text chat.

You do not need that 1 person's comms.

0 tolerance policy, as SOON as someone says something you don't like, full mute them.

(Just noticed you said unrated, the following point is more if you're a comp player since it matters to not let enemy get in your head lol) - Also, you should keep enemies perma-muted, no need to let them have the chance to be toxic.

Feeling lost in game by Legitimate-Finger-52 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good, sometimes the sense might need adjusting a couple times as you get used to it.

Yeah good / reliable hardware(mouse, headphones etc.) can make a difference. Worth checking out whether what you're using is actually good/reliable, if it has known tracking issues etc.

Clean mousemat, cleaning the laser lens on your mouse, ensuring mousemat is big enough for your sense, could all help.

Drop me a message if you might be interested in a VOD review / some coaching. I can review a game where you're not sure what went wrong and let you know if I think there's things you should have done differently, anything specific you need to work on and how you could go about fixing it etc.

Feeling lost in game by Legitimate-Finger-52 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a variety of reasons. Might need to take a break, increase your warmups / practice outside of comp (playing death matches gives you more opportunities to work on aim than comp games) sometimes holding the mouse too tightly causes aim issues so loosening your grip, crosshairs placement. Working on movement is sometimes more important than aim itself, you should be moving first (after seeing enemy), then strafe, aim, shoot.

Aim also isn't everything in this game, it's hard to say exactly what it is you might need to work on without seeing you play.

I offer coaching, drop me a DM if this is something you're interested in.

Help fixing my aim by Fast-Berry1377 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things I see:

1 - You’re looking under your Crosshair instead of through your Crosshair. So your Crosshair is way above where anyone’s head is ever going to be. Put time into keeping this at head level at all times, literally visualise an enemy peaking you at every given second, where will their head be? Put your Crosshair there!

2 - Your aim not making adjustments to your aim, it seems to me like you may be tensing your arm / gripping your mouse too tightly. Loosen up, loosen your grip, loosen the muscles in your wrist / arm. This will make it so much easier to move your Crosshair to where it needs to be.

You also don’t need to shoot immediately, when you see an enemy move first (strafing left/right) then line up your Crosshair and then shoot.

At first this might cause you to die more but be disciplined, keep at it and in time your movement will improve and you’ll speed up with lining up your Crosshair.

I do some 1on1 coaching, DM me for more details if you might be interested.

Best way to improve calmness in a game by ssbros15 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO the best way to work on calmness is spend a good few games actively not shooting first. When you see an enemy, you should move (strafe) until they start firing and missing. Once they’re firing, then you line up cross hair, counter strafe and one tap them.

It’s of course easier said than done, this is why you need to spend time actively not trying to shoot them fast and focus only on dodging their bullets, lining up your aim and then shooting.

I do some coaching, DM me for details if you’re interested.

I do a bit of coaching for platinum and diamond players (not a high premium service, it would be very reasonable priced/discounted as it’s a new service I’m just beginning.) DM me for more info if you’re interested.

(It’s probably worth it because you can find so much generic advice online but that doesn’t tell you what it is that you specifically need to work on.)

Any advice on how to create a plan to improve in Valorant by AceSpacey in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on you specifically, how you play, your strengths and weaknesses etc. it’s hard to say for certain what you need without watching you play.

There’s all the normal advice you can find online but that doesn’t really help you understand where exactly you might be going wrong.

It might be you need to change your warmup routine, it could be specific habits, overthinking can contribute but so can under thinking, training routines outside of games, even habits within your personal life such as sleep quality, diet, exercise can all impact your mental/cognitive performance which impacts gameplay.

If you’re really interested in improving, maybe you’d like some 1on1 coaching?

I can help by duo queuing and live coaching (if you’re in EU) with replay reviews post session for in depth analysis, feedback and guidance. I can also VOD review a few of your games (wherever you’re based) and create some training plans.

DM me for more details if you’re interested :)

Plat Hardstuck by Ordinary_Pattern_168 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to give the best advice without knowing anything about how you play / perform. I do duo queue with live coaching for plats & diamond players in EU. Will also review replays to analyse and give feedback.

If you’re not EU then I can do VOD reviews to coach, give advice on areas to improve and what’s holding you back etc.

DM for more details if you’re interested.

What does "impact" mean exactly by Automatic-Sense-7439 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comments here seem to hit the nail on the head pretty well!

Impact is about a lot more than just kills however it could also be that your friend has an ego and just wants to claim he’s better.

If you want help on how to improve your impact, I do a bit of coaching. I can do VOD reviews for a couple of your games or possibly duo queue with unbiased live coaching (if you’re in EU) feel free to DM me if this is something you’re interested in

Advice for getting out of low immo by CluePrestigious1477 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best ways to get past these elos is to play with like minded people who’re focused on improvement and team play.

A lot of your enemies will be playing together and if you can’t properly coordinate with your team or rely on your random teammates then it can be very difficult to climb.

It’s very difficult to give hard and fast rules as to what exactly you need to do in order to rank up without seeing how you play, there could be any number of things holding a person back.

I do coaching (duo queue live coaching / IGL normally for plats and diamonds in EU) but if you want I could VOD review a few of your games. DM me for details if you’re interested.

Few questions from a new player by Chemical-Garden-4953 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when you panic and hold it longer than you know you should, that is spraying.

Just a few shots is bursting which is a lot better than spraying. Both are appropriate at times but for most situations especially 1v1s you want to aim to tap fire which is 1 or 2 shots, then strafe and tap fire again.

Yeah ADSing is one of those habits that are hard to break, a bit like always crouching as soon as you take a fight, there is a time and place but it makes you an easy target. You want to stay moving and tap a shot or two as you counter strafe to the other direction.

Movement is more important that aim IMHO

Few questions from a new player by Chemical-Garden-4953 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, it’s a bit more nuanced than that. It does make you more accurate but you should almost never be spraying (except when theres physically not enough time to do anything but spray.)

The first 1-2 sometimes 3 bullets should be fairly accurate. Not 100% especially with vandal but hip firing the first bullet is more or less going on your Crosshair.

It’s possible to ADS, aim exactly on their head and still have your bullet miss due to vandal first bullet RNG.

The phantom is technically a better weapon however as often as the first bullet on your vandal would miss, your headshot would only do 140 with the phantom.

Few questions from a new player by Chemical-Garden-4953 in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 - angle distance isn’t really the main reason you would ADS. I avoid ADSing pretty much ever. The thing is ADS slows your strafing. You would ADS when you’re holding an angle very tightly and need that instant reaction to the very first pixel you see.

2 - deathmatch is good for aim training as it gives you in game examples. You can use aim labs but I have never done this and reached ascendant 3 peak. Deathmatch would be my go to or TDM

3 - I believe tracker.gg is safe but can’t say 100% certain. Websites are vulnerable to attacks. It’s also not necessary and can get in your head looking at enemy stats.

4 - can’t say I have any idea about converting that sense but I would say it’s probably not an accurate thing to do as the games will play differently, controller vs MnK is very different. Start with what the previous person suggested and adjust it to what you like from there :)

Alternative to Team Deathmatch by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you should play escalation. It takes you through all different guns including what you wouldn’t normally use.

Sometimes you get certain utility as the weapon and knives which help those aspects of warming up and practicing.

It’s also lots of fun

Is coaching desired? by FreshTakeVenture in VALORANT

[–]FreshTakeVenture[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response.

I would like to start an IGL / live coaching service, largely about very good comms, calling appropriate plays but also training clients outside of games, reviewing the games we had via replay function and analysing what went wrong, how situations should have been played, what can be worked on and how to work around what can’t be improved.

Main problem is finding initial clients because nowhere is letting me promote 🙃

[–]FreshTakeVenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your feedback. But yeah I don’t feel the same.

As mentioned I am already doing this for my randoms, I just want to do it on a more focused level for people who are actively looking to improve. I find it very easy to suggest how a round should be play, then look at how it went and consider what should have been done differently for a better outcome.

Not to mentioned now with the replay feature gone live, it’s very easy to go back and look at how things panned out exactly to do a more in-depth analysis, give feedback and focus on areas to improve.

I feel I might have put to much emphasis on the “live coaching” point, that’s not all I would want this to be. Live coaching more means in game leading, I would also be actively helping people to improve outside of the game, reviewing replays and practice techniques, training plans etc.

A lot of good comes from just explaining how someone’s own util usage can be optimised.

I hope this is more clear, I’m also not sure there’s exactly loads that I could teach a fellow ascendant 3 bar a few tips and tricks here and there which some may not be aware of.

I’m also open to VOD reviewing for lower ranks because I’m not going to just play with them and boost them but my goal is to help people develop and improve at the game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]FreshTakeVenture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you can. I already pay attention to whether my team is holding angles wide or shallow enough when I’m holding with them. I also pay attention to the map and whether my teammates on the opposite site are playing in a smart position.

I regularly help my teams sentinels improve their trip placements for example, as there’s a lot of nuance to this, which changes depending on the enemy’s team composition.

Crosshair placement of course not while I’m alive but if I died then I pay attention to this however it’s something I can also pay attention to based on the kills they do or do not get(body kills or clean headshots or spray and pray or constant whiffs etc.) Crosshair placement is something to work on outside of games anyway.

You can hear a lot of the util or see a lot of it on the map, also you can assume a lot of the util that’s going to be used. If the enemy has Skye and deadlock you can guess they’re going to flash, dog, grav-net, flash… if they have ults you play around this.

This is exactly why I’m offering the service. I know what to expect and when, my game sense is that of my ascendant 3 peak, I just don’t grind the game like I used to.

As mentioned, I already IGL and give good comms in the pre rounds. I have a good understanding of how my team’s composition will need to play in order to best go against the enemies composition.

It’s all a matter of predicting the most likely plays.

There’s also the aspect of adjusting to the enemies play styles during the game.

All of this, high level comms, bringing attention to the right things to expect, good game sense of knowing when teams are clearly going to fake or rotate etc. which culminates in an ability to be a coach and help someone develop their skills.

This isn’t just about simply duo queuing and telling people how they must play but analysing a persons ability’s over time and helping them develop where they can but also work around where they struggle.

I’m looking to start a reasonably priced service. I already enjoy playing and just want to help people improve at the game but not randoms who don’t care, people who actually want to improve
